The United Nations is the current sole governing body of Sol, Sirius, Barnard's Star, and Alpha Centauri. Formed after WW2, the UN would later take governing rights over Earth after a devastating third world war that left many nations on the brink of collapse. Through an extensive colonization program, the UN manages to secure multiple colonies giving the citizens of the irradiated zones a new beginning. However some of the other outlying colonies in the Frontier space have decided to succeed from the United Nations. The UN however, was largely content with these events but however tensions were high between the UN and the newly formed Outer Frontier Federation.
