As we reached closer to the mandir i could acutally see bhai was not kidding this whole place is surrounded by them Well ms awasthi was always squimish arround the bodyguard i use to have i wonder what her reaction be seeing so many of them 

A guard open the door for me moving out i hand the key to another and move the stairs reaching up badi maa was the first one to hug me and after her i met all the elders then bhai come forward patting my shoulder rohit joked about only i could be late for my own roka i saw ms awasthi's mother chatting with bua happily i move towards her greeting her and after that i look arround was ms awasthi like her usual self she was in a corner talking to ragini bhabhi as if sensing my gaze she look at me give me a small smile which is polite enough to give to your boss like a courtesy but not for your to be fiance

 we need to set certain things for this matter otherwise soon my cousins will be on my case so i decided to move towards her but dadi ask us to move inside its already late as ms awasthi move towards me i glance at her outfit its indian and she is looking beautiful first we did the pooja then the roka ceremony started my family got gifts for her and then her mother give a watch " its a family heirloom my father wanted to give it to his son inlaw but it couldn't happen but i m giving it to you " she said putting tikka on my forhead " dont worry i will keep it safe " i said trying to assure her " Karan i appreciate it but my daughter is the most precious in my life and i m giving her to you today as well with the trust that you will protect her and be there for her " she said giving ms awasthi's hand in mine " i will not break your trust " the words were as surprising for me as for her bcoz i felt her stiffen beside me 

Tejasswi's pov

" i will not break your trust " his words surprised me He is not someone who stays stuff just to keep your stuff he dont stuff he dont mean Maybe he just said it to keep mumma worry free after mumma move away i tried to take my hand from his hand i felt him move closer and " ms awasthi don't look so uncomfortable holding my hand otherwise the deal wont work " he whispered near my air his breath tickle my ear i could feel my cheeks heating and it got confirmed when rohit said " i never knew karan could make a women go red with shyness " teasingly

" So finally you two are rokafeid " Rohit said after all the rituals were completed but i was uncomfortable not with his presence arround but with the gifts i knew the rituals were supposed to be real but we weren't clear on this part i wanted to talk to him but i didn't know how to call him out SIR would be too formal God what should

But i need to clear the matter so i move in his direction was facing me so i touched his shoulder and he turn to me " can we talk?" i said slowly so that no one would hear " yaa say " he said folding his hands i bit my lip in nervousness " Alone" i said too slowly not knowing how he would react luckily he heard it and led the way

"Sir what should i do of these gifts i knew the rituals were supposed to be real but the giftts are too expensive I can't repay them "

" they are gifts ms awasthi take them and use them as you wish they are beem given to you " " But they are for your bride "

" well no one is gonna be my bride other than you so they are all yours do as you wish and don't think of price nothing have to be repayed " he said and walk away making me try to control myself from thinking too much from his words  

After that they all decided to have lunch together and mumma agreed i could see her bonding with his bua and even his badi maa and she ask me to come in sir's car All the Gifts were put in the car we have come in and the driver will wait till we are free than he would drop us off His cousin tried alot to make him sent me home but he declined with his famous glare and said " He have a meeting "

As we move towards the restaurant " Ms awasthi i told you that nothing would change in our relationship but we need to be a little interactive and you shouldn't get all uncomfortable holding my hand . do i make you uncomfortable ? "

" No sir . i was just caught offguarded and next time i will be prepared and " i bit my lip its a bad habit but i do it everytime i m hasitated or nervous " you can be honest and please don't call me sir infront of my family " he said looking on the road

" i can't intiate the contact i m okay if you do it i will reciprocate but i just can't do it on my own " i said in a breath looking away this is the second time my cheeks are red in his presence but the reasons are you tottaly different

" That's okay i will do it just don't get all shocked everytime i do it " i nodded and there was no interaction between us for the rest of the journey
