Clawdeen ran as fast as she could to the forest and hid behind 2 big boulders in case her friends decided to follow her. she picked up a flower on the ground and looked at it, her tears fell on the petals
Clawdeen: calm down, Clawdeen. you have to calm down! I Can't Believe I Almost Hurt Frankie and Lagoona! How Could I Even Do That? I guess I just got the idea in my head that Draculaura attacked me last month because she hated me, or that everyone hated me. what if they tell my parents or Clawd? I'll be in so much trouble! UGH! I didn't even want to become Were-Ruler! I don't want all this stress, Why Did I Have To Become Were-Ruler?!
Lain: well then maybe I can help
Clawdeen looked up to see a male were-cat on the boulders, eating an apple
Clawdeen: *nervous laugh* how long have you been there?
Lain: long enough to know that your lost
Clawdeen: no I'm not, I know where Monster High is from here
Lain hopped next to her
Lain: that's not what I meant, what I mean is your spirit is clearly lost. I'm Lain, I usually hang in these woods since I have no siblings to play with. but you were so loud this cat got curious
Clawdeen: who even are you?
Lain: just follow me
Clawdeen: how do I know I can trust you?
Lain: you don't...
Clawdeen thought for a second before running after him
Clawdeen: well following him is the best option, what else am I gonna do? stay here and be mad at my friends until my brain melts?
she follows him until they see a tree house, he climbs up it and Clawdeen follows. after they are inside he shuts and locks the trap door as Clawdeen sits on a chair
Clawdeen: did you build this?
Lain: Yep! I started building it when I was 12, 4 years later I finally finished. it's just a place for me to hang out or to cool off. but now I live here
Clawdeen: what happened to your parents? if I may ask
Lain: they are on a long business trip, it'll be a month until they return
Clawdeen: it doesn't seem safe for you to live on your own Lain
Lain: I'm used to it, they always leave without telling me because I'm just in the way of their precious work. but enough about me, what about you?
Clawdeen: me? yeah, why were you so flustered back there?
Clawdeen: well my relationship with my friends has been ripped to shreds because of me. I said horrible things to them, I was just so afraid that they didn't love me anymore and would leave me behind like I never meant anything to them. and being the next Were-Ruler has been super stressful and I never even wanted to be it
Lain hands her a glass of water which she quickly drinks
Lain: well people can lash out and say stuff they don't mean when their angry, I'm sure if you go back and talk to them about it they will forgive you
Clawdeen: well I also have this purple aura power thing where I don't know what it is and my mom gives me weird looks whenever it comes. and I'm afraid I might hurt someone with it since not even 20 minutes ago, I almost hurt 2 of my closest friends with it
Lain: then talk to your mom as well, she should know what to do
Clawdeen: but I shouldn't burden her with my problems, I can't always call her when there's a problem
