|| Chapter 004. SWORD

"School..." she groaned. She had filled out all the papers to go to the J High specialty school. The only thing left to prepare was to buy the supplies and actually go there.

Lucky for her the stationary store was right next to the post office. It had been almost a month and the katana was finally ready. Y/N considered herself extremely lucky to not have to pay for it, but a month? For one sword?

According to Shiro it's an "art" and it usually takes 3 months. This one was already in the process of being made so it arrived a lot earlier. Something about special shipping privileges, private sword maker, and limited edition. She wasn't listening much. It was late at night and she ended up falling asleep on call.

Her second meeting with Goo was today. She delayed it as much as she could to get the sword ready for him.

"He probably thinks I hate him." she thought. It was partially true, but she found him funny.

She picked up her basic school supplies. It was mostly japanese because all the korean pens broke and american pens were plain ugly.

After that she went to the post office. She knew which package it was immediately because of the very long box. It really wasn't hard to tell. But now she had to buy an extremely long gift bag. Walking home, she decided to just make one.

When she finally got home, she set up a tiny craft station and made sure to keep Dalgom away from the scissors.

"I'd rather him not cut himself bald." she said, picking Dalgom up and setting him down in a blanket cocoon.

The bag she made was simple. White cardstock with gray ribbons. She wrote a tiny note on it telling him that they were even now and made sure to mention not spending money on her again.

"I could open the box. It's not like he would notice." After all, she wanted to know what she was giving him.

It was a red silk covered box. Inside was one of the most beautiful blades she had ever seen. She hasn't seen many blades, but she knew it was pretty.

Japanese lettering and floral patterns were engraved into the blade. They were silver, the blade itself being black metal. The sheath was red and the handle was black leather. The signature of the maker was engraved into the sheath and blade.

"Now I want one." she pouted a little.

Putting the sword back in the box and into the bag, Y/N packed for the meeting and headed off to the cafe they agreed to meet at.

Well Goo didn't exactly agree to it. He wanted to go to a fancy restaurant, yap yap yap. She forced him to settle on a cafe in her neighborhood. He's only going because he wants to know where she lives.

"Stalker much?" she muttered in her brain. She took the suspiciously long gift bag and headed out.

"Goo!" she said. She was excited to see him for some reason.

"Hey princess!" He looked excited too. She was used to this nickname now and didn't really care anymore.

"I got you something in return for last time~" she said in a sing-songy voice.

"Aww thank you! I knew you didn't hate me" he said with his signature grin.

Goo opened the suspiciously long box knowing she was watching him.

"It was cute how excited she was to see my reaction," he mused.

Goo was expecting wine. Or a new pool pole. Or something else, just not a katana.

He could recognize it from the box. "How did you know I like these?" He was slightly suspicious.

"I asked Kouji what you liked after our last meeting. Sorry it took so long to make- I had to ask a friend about it and I-"

     "It's fine."

"How did you know it was one? You haven't even opened the box."

"I can recognize them." He could also tell it was high quality, due to the authentic silk.

He lifted the lid carefully and took off the cloth cover. Goo was shocked.

Not only was the sheath beautiful, but he knew the signature.

     It was Gun's private swordsmith

He always made fun of Gun for having a swordsmith. "You don't even use them," he joked. But he knew that Jonggun only employed the best of the best. He also happened to know that this sword maker only worked for prestigious families in asia.

     "Where did you get this?"

"U- A friend. He lives in Korea, but I've never met him in person."

      "How did you get it?"

"He dropped it off at Gangbuk post office earlier today."

What were the chances it was Gun. There were plenty of rich families. "I thought you were broke."

     "I am."

"This sword maker sells for tens of millions of won, not to mention this is limited edition."

"I didn't know that. Do you not like it- I"

"No no, I like it. Just curious, you know." He winked at her.

They spent the rest of the afternoon over coffee and fun. She even managed to force him to listen to kpop.

Jonggun Park had to attend a meeting between the geniuses soon. It was a particular blond brat that was holding him up.

He was at the cafe Goo messaged Gun to pick him up at. "5 minutes and then I leave." he muttered below his breath.

Goo came out, waving goodbye to a girl who looked about 15-17.

     "Who was that?"

"Just a friend Kouji knows." He said, weirdly happy.

     "What's in the bag?"

"It's a katana! She gave it to me just today."

     "Does she know?"

"I don't think so. She doesn't seem to know anything about me. Kouji told her I like them"

"Is it authentic?" he said nonchalantly

"About that. She said she was broke when I took her shopping last time, and she then gives me a limited edition katana from your private swordsmith."

Gun parked then. They were at HNH and early. "Show me it."

"Hey, don't steal it!" scared that Gun would rip the bag, he gave up."Fine... are you jealous?"

Gun didn't answer. He carefully unopened the box. Just as he suspected, it was the exact same one he gave to Y/N this morning.

"How do you know her?" Gun glared at Joongoo, dangerously silent.

Goo glared right back. "How do you know her?"

Jonggun sighed. "I met her online."

"I met her by stealing Kouji's phone."

...

"Don't tell her about this." Gun finally said.

Goo smirked. "Of course. Can't have you stealing her."
