It's okay (Itoshi Rin x male!reader)

Rin Itoshi - 17 yrs old

Reader is around his age (15-18)

Angst to comfort. Did this at 12 pm Yesterday so yeah.

He felt like the world had decided to make his life hell today. First school had decided to be a bitch, then someone he held respect for acted insensible and just told him some pretty  rude things and now he couldn't even find comfort online. He knows that they probably didn't think it'd hurt him so much, he himself through that he was making it too much of a big deal. He also knew that those pictures were meant to be jokes but today was really not his day. Heck ! The whole week had been hellish...

He sighed before closing his laptop and leaning back in his chair. He glanced at his phone when the object vibrated to let him know he had a notification. He looked at the glowing screen with a frown and glossy eyes. He closed his eyes and bit his lip, he shouldn't feel so down just because of this ! And yet he felt like shit.

He was too busy trying to remain calm and well- not sad to realize who sent him a message. So when he heard someone knock on his door he was quite surprised. He rubbed his eyes and patted down his messy hair (Sorry if ur bald pookie 💀) to at least look presentable. He forcefully curled up his lips to at least fake a smile and walked to the door.

His hand gripped the doorknob and he swiftly opened it. When his eyes looked up he couldn't help but look surprised at just who was at the door.

There stood a tall and handsome teen, his dark hair falling nicely in front of his face as his eyes peered down at him with hidden concern. Oh really the boy could go on a tangent, no an essay on just how beautiful his eyes were. His tall and lean frame was complimented by a black polo and dark blue jeans. If one looked closely they might have noticed the slightly quick breathing and the drops of sweat on the teen's face.

The boy was snapped out of his admirative description by his boyfriend's voice. "You... are you okay ?" His tone held oblivious concern and if the worlds the black haired teen spoke didn't already get him out of his dazed state his tone sure did. The teen gulped as he avoided eye contact. "What do you mean ? I'm perfectly fine."

At his words the other's teal eyes narrowed. "No you're not fine _____. Your friend told me what happened and clearly you're not okay." At his words the shorter boy flinched and balled his hands into fists. His nails dug into his flesh and he exhaled a shaky breath. "I'm okay don't worry Rin. They were definitely exaggerating, it's not that bad."

The teen looked at the ground, if he faced his lover now he wasn't sure he'd have the strength to hold a front anymore. He heard the boy sigh before he felt two warm arms pull him into someone's chest. When he felt the comforting embrace of his everything he let out a shaky breath. But the words the other spoke after this were what made him completely break down. "It's okay, i'm here. You don't have to hold it in when you're with me."

The poor teen completely broke down, and as Rin held him he sobbed. He told him about how shitty this week was, about how he felt he shouldn't let such 'silly' things affect him. And the other listened, letting him vent all his frustrations and sorrow. Somehow in all of this they'd ended up on _____'s bed with him curled up in Rin's embrace. After a while the boy's sobbing stopped and his breathing evened.

In his lover's comforting embrace he couldn't help but slowly doze off, the exhaustion of his breakdown catching up with him. And just as his eyes closed the dark haired teen's voice lulled him to sleep. "I understand that you feel saddened and frustrated at everything that happened. Sometimes what we consider to be little problems become too much for us. In these moments it's okay to cry, to vent and to feel hurt." His voice was calming and soft as he continued. "And while i can't predict the future and tell you tomorrow will be better i can say that i'll be here with and for you. So rest assured because you'll always have a place by my side, no matter what mood you may be in."

As he finally fell asleep Rin kissed his forehead and layed down with him. And just as they both fell asleep, ____'s phone screen lighted up with comforting and worried messages from his friends.
