An unconventional romance

Class pass without many incident, the bell rings and it’s lunch time! Finally, I get out of class with Rachel and Emily, we arrive at the cafeteria, we got food, that is sucks, and we sit at the table, we’re joking and laughing a lot, when Oliver suddenly comes, and sit next to me, he looks so angry.

-What happened Oli?- I ask

-Nothing...it doesn’t matter, what where you guys talking to?

-It doens’t matter...it’s women stuff, you would no understand.

-Is a secret? Thats why you don’t want to tell me? - suddenly he gets so nervous.

-If I am saying it’s nothing then it’s nothing!Why can’t you trust in me?

He stays in silence and ignore my question, Rachel and Emily look at each other with a look of disappointment, I didn’t saw the new boy going to the cafeteria, he’s probably having lunch at some hidden place, after a few minutes of silence, Rachel pull up a random topic, and we start talking normally, this kind of awkward silence is very common because of Oliver, but I don’t judge him, he have so many problems, and if he take it out on me, it’s because he loves me right? And he don’t have no one to do this, this kind of thing in a relatioship is normal, right? Right...?

The lunch time is over and we have to got back to our classes, he give me a quick  and very tight hug, we have more three class, and at 15:10 finally the bell rings, I am walking at the hall pass alone, Emily is going to stay for the art club and Rachel is going to study at the library, suddenly a hand is on my arm, it’s Oliver, he approach at me smiling.

-So... sweet Lily I am sorry for... you know the lunch time...  I was nervous because of somethings... and I take it out on you...but you know I love you and... you’re my girlfriend if I don’t take it out on you then in who am I going to right? and I would like to compensate you...

-It's okay, I understand Oli... but how will you compensate me?

-I was thinking what if I get in your room in the middle of night? And we escape night away, even for only a night?

I am shocked...like really shocked how dare is he to suggest something like this? He know how severe my father is... this would put me in so much trouble if my dad find out

-Sweet... why you’re so quiet? 

-Oliver... you know my father would kill me if I do something like this, this goes against my morals... I can’t...sorry

-Lily? You’re going to lost the best part of your life because of this asshole you call father... you never go out, or go to partys like... you don’t have a life after school, you only goes from school to house, house to school and keeps going... you should enjoy your life while you can, because you know... after school you will only have to worry about me and our childs

-Maybe I am not enjoying my life  right now but I can do this at the university and after, I will have time

-Are you dumb Lily? You will not go to the university, why should you go? You will be busy taking care of our childs

I sigh... he is right? I want to go to the university, I want to work! I don’t even know if I want kids... Logan arrive and he notice my sad look

-What did you said to my lil Lily? She looks so sad... you know I don’t approve your relationship with her

-I said nothing... and you know that if you approve or no my relationship with my Lily, it doesn’t make difference

-Anyway asshole... c’mon Lily, we have so much to talk...

Logan turns back and starts walking, but I stay in the same place, then Logan goes to me and push me away from the school, we walk for a few minutes in silence

-You should breakup with him... he is not good for you Lily, you look so different after start dating him, you’re more quiet and sad... and you know father would get really anger if he find out you’re dating secretly

-I can’t breakup with him... we love eachother

-Love is not supposed to hurt you

-Who are you to talk about love Logan? We didn’t even received a good exemple in our home

-It's not because mama and papa had a terrible love story you should have one too...

I don’t answer, and we arrive at home, today is my free day so I don’t have any activities, and I read and listen to music all day, my father, Joseph, my brother and I we have dinner, after dinner Logan and I do our homeworks or we have a free time, my father cleans the kitchen and locks himself in his room, the light are turned off at 9 at night, I fall asleep for some hours but suddenly something wakes me up... it’s a shadow... I can’t see what this is... I turn on the lamp... and there is Oliver

-Are you crazy? Do you want to put me in trouble? Get the fuck out of here Oliver

-I just needed to see you... and you receive me like this?

-I told you to get out of here, I told you in school that I didn’t wanted you coming here at night...if my father catch us... I can’t even imagine what he can do with me... so get out of here Oliver!

I think I spoke a little too loud, because suddenly my father and Logan opens the door...
