Elena awoke to the sound of her younger siblings laughter. She sighed dramatically and pulled her purple confeter over her head. When they slept in she was sure to be quite make no noise what so ever. Why couldn't the just for once return the favor?

It was no use.Flipping the blanket off of her, she stood and began walking towards her door. Trying her best to get her eyes to adjust before the sun blinded her. Opening the door, looked around seeing nothing. The laughter continued. She followed it.

There they were her family. The people she lived with, the people she cared for. There was Gorden, her younger brother. He was just like her father not just in looks but also in personality. Elena never truly knew if that was a good or a bad thing, knowing where her father was now but she didn't think of anything like that. She let it slide. Then her sister Jasmine. She looked like Elena and her mother.

Elena pushed her way past them as they played on the floor. She took her seat at the table, watching as her mother flipped a pancake and hummed as she did so.

She always wanted to look like her mother. She was quite beautiful. Her hair long and dark just like Elena's. eyes a shade of walnut brown, skin the color of proclien. She was tall and lean, the girl everyone wanted to be. Elena sighed and looked out the window.

Clouds had covered the sun so it was dark and gloomy. "So long summer vacation. " Elena thought to herself. That's how it was her town. The little town in the middle of nowhere,Woodsland that's where Elena lived. The name fit well. That's all that was there forest......Elena hated it.

"What's wrong?" Elena looked at her mother who was staring at her intently.

"Nothing,it's just....it's suppose to be summer. Am I right?" Elena smiled and watched as a lovely smile spread across her mothers face.

"Oh honey. I'm sorry. Bummer ,I know. Lived here my whole life." She walked towards Elena, rubbing her shoulder gently.

" oh yes, the town of the one and only Brooklyn Hamilton. I've heard the stories. But really, honestly how could you stand this place for so long. Why here?" Elena looked straight at her mom. The normal sparkle was gone. Had been for quite awhile.

"This is a wonderful place for children!" Her mother cried.

"Wonderful place for children before 3 weeks ago." Elena mumbled unsuccessfully.

"Elena." Brooklyn whispers, looking from her younger siblings then to her.

"Sorry." She whispers back as she slumped lower into her chair.

It was true. Woodsland was a wonderful place for children up until 3 weeks ago. A man had come and taken children from there homes. While they were playing in the woods,at the park. It was never ending. People didn't know who he was or what was going on. They just knew kids were missing and someone had told the police they saw a man running into the woods. So that's what they believed.

Summer break was started early. The parks were closed down. Kids weren't allowed out of the house without. Parent watching them. Woods were off limits. That didn't stop teens from going in there an partying, until one went missing. Then it became a big thing.

Brooklyn placed the pancakes and eggs on the table, reaching for the bacon that Elena could practically live off of. Brooklyn didn't talk about the abductions of the children. Being a hard topic due to the 3 lovely children she has. She didn't even wanna think about it. The kids weren't allowed into the forest anymore. Weren't even allowed outside.the probably hated her but she could careless as long as they were safe. Elena on the other hand didn't care, she sat in the house, blaring her music and writing always writing.
