𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒔 𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒆 (𝑷𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒅 & 𝑼𝒑𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈)

Wdym? I did not disappear for like a whole month, what are you talking about 🤨👩‍🦲

Many years pass as the two got higher and higher in the ranking system. And soon enough Giyuu got promoted to be hashira before Kaida, while Kaida is ranked hinoe. And right now, the two are on a mission, a demon killed a family in the snowy mountains. Giyuu is on a cliff overlooking the white forest until he heard Kaida's voice.

"I lost sight of you when you disappeared out of nowhere you know? Felt betrayed when you left me on my own." The seventeen year old girl said smiling at the man who was in front of her. "Any who, I heard voices of somebody else talking, so speak up Yuu san."

"... There was a boy and girl. The boy, he looked exactly like you, the same red eyes as yours. He said that the girl with him is his younger sibling, but his sister is a demon, and my guess is that they're your siblings. Right?" Giyuu said as he turned around to face Kaida. "Giyuu san, you've better not have tried to have killed them or else I'll get your head myself" She said with closed eye smile. She suddenly broke out the smile had on her face as she got a gut feeling that something was wrong.

"What's up with you all of a sudden?." Giyuu asked. "Nothing, I think I'll go for a walk." She told him as she turned around to go down the cliff. "Don't get lost Kai." That was the last thing she heard when she departed from the cliff. When she was out of sight, she ran up to a trail she once remembered walking on years ago. How can she? How can she get lost? How can she get lost when she has been up this trail over a million times? She felt the nostalgia coming back to her she saw a house. A house that she used to walk, talk and eat in. 'They can't be gone right? They're not the family that got killed right? I won't believe it.' She thought to herself as the scent of blood finds itself stuck in her nose.

She stopped when saw the buried bodies. Her eyes looked over to the inside of the house, it was all bloody and gory. She stepped inside looking around trying to find a scent that was abnormal. Then she found it. She found the scent that belong to the murderer. It wasn't an animal, but it was rather demon whose strength is probably beyond her mind and body. She could just imagine what had happened and it had troubled her, so, she went outside for some fresh air. She sat on chilly snow, legs cross, her arm propped against her thigh as her palm found itself on her cheek.

She stared at a blank spot of snow, and saw her younger self and Tanjiro playing tag together. It was a cheerful moment the siblings had once shared. Kaida sighed and started to think of about the outcome if she had come back a few months back. If she had come back on her birthday, July 27th, what would had happened then? She was supposed to go to the same house on that same day but she couldn't since she was sick bad. She had give thought to it for a while before going back to find Giyuu.

"Yuu san?, Yuu san?" She called out for him but no answer. "Where is he? Did he really just abandon me like that? I feel betrayed for the second time in a row." She stopped walking and grabbed her katana as she turned around to face with Giyuu. She relaxed herself and drew away her katana from his neck and sighed.

"Kaida, are you ok? You seem tense over something." Giyuu asked. "I'm fine, I'm just probably hungry or something." She replied, brushing it off with a lie and continued walking forward acting like the encounter they had just was nothing. She knew, he knew, they knew that something was wrong. Since they've been best friends for a long time, they knew each other like if their life depended on it. 

Giyuu stared at the girl before he had walked up to her. He knew it was going to take a long time for her to open up. Since she's stubborn as an ox when it comes to how she's feeling. And so, he decided buy her her favorite food: gyoza dumpling soup, to cheer her up.

a few minutes later

"You know you could've told me about what happened you know?" Giyuu said looking at Kaida eat her soup. "Yeah, Yeah. I know." Her mouth was muffled since the food was in her mouth. "I'm serious." "Me too you know." She said looking at him. "Sure you are."
