Chapter 1

Editha's pov

‘Welcome to the team private Aloisa' that was the last thing general Agnar said to me since the end of the test. Now I trail behind him as he led me to the center of barracks.

I walked quickly behind him, close enough to catch up to but far enough to show that I am of lower rank, as we got closer to the center I could hear the grunts of men and the stomping of boots.

When we arrived it was obviously a training ground, there were no women in sight.. I felt self conscious but I’ve worked hard to get to this point and I’m not going to quit.
“CADETS!” General Agnar shouted, swiftly stopping the mass of flesh, blood and sweat. “SIR!” was their immediate reply as they stood at attention. “Welcome your new comrade private Aloisa, she was the only survivor of the test and she has earned her right to be here. Private Hoder show her around and spread the news because I will not be repeating this conversation” he said and with that he left, leaving me to my faith, the men’s posture relaxed along with his departure.

“umm hi” I greeted not knowing what else to say, “welcome to the team you’re the first woman we’ve received in this camp” Private Hoder “I’ll help you fit in kay” I continue. I think he was trying to make me feel better.

“umm how old are you?” one of the men asked “I’m 12” I relied simply.
“WHAT!” most of the men shouted “how did you survive? ” private Hoder asked, “I ran, fought and endured” I answer simply. “you’re it much of a talker are you” private Holder said “I speak when it is required and right now, please lead me to my quarters. I need to rest” I said “of course” he said then led me through the camp to the quarters, I looked around wanting to memorize the route as to not get lost.

Private Hoder pointed me to the shared room “training start first thing tomorrow at dawn don’tbe late, captain doesn’t take it lightly” and with that he left me to my business. I hopped on the bed and slept.
