Hello everyone,

For the story- I changed her name, because I don't want her last name to be a drink brand 😭😭😭😭
Personal- I'm back from my hiatus to finally, finally finish this story.
I will be updating every week (usually), and I hope you all enjoy this journey.
I was gone for a while to focus on my mental health and school, (I still am because I'm lowkey dumb and depressed) but- I will definitely be working hard on this now.

After getting off the train, the trio and Celine headed to the carriages sharing one with Luna Lovegood.
"Celine, this is Loony-er sorry, Luna Lovegood." Hermione said, her face flushing from embarrassment."Hello, Celine," Luna spoke. "You've quite a few wrackspurts floating around your head. Are you alright?""Yes, thank you, Luna. I've just had a...rough couple of weeks." She wasn't about to explain her story to people she just met, however nice they seem."Oh, what happened?" Ron questioned."Ronald! We've only just met her a few hours ago. Stop pressing into other's business." reprimanded Hermione."..sorry.." Ron muttered.Celine just giggled and asked Luna about the magazine she was reading. Ron, Hermione, and Harry continued talking in hushed tones about someone with the name "Padfoot".Unbeknownst to them all (except perhaps Luna, who kept glancing over at him), a certain emerald-eyed boy's attention was no longer on the happenings of the Quidditch World Cup or his lightning bolt scar. It was on her.⊂✶⊃Joining the first years, Celine, with her new wizarding robes swishing around her feet, looked up at the deputy Headmistress of this school. She looked like someone to not cross, but would make a good ally in times of trouble. Slipping to the front of the little crowd of first years, Professor McGonagall saw Celine, and told her that she would be the first to be sorted. "Welcome to Hogwarts," said Professor McGonagall to the first year students. "The start-of-term banquet will begin shortly, but before you take your seats in the great hall, you will be sorted into your houses. The Sorting is a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your house will be something like your family within Hogwarts. You will have classes with the rest of your house, sleep in your house dormitory and spend free time in your house common room. The four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Each house has its own noble history, and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn your house points, while any rule-breaking will lose house points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the House Cup, a great honour. I hope each of you will be a credit to whichever house becomes yours. The Sorting Ceremony will take place in a few minutes in front of the rest of the school. I suggest you all smarten yourselves up as much as you can while you are waiting. I shall return when we are ready for you. Please wait quietly."While the first years talked amongst themselves, wondering which house they were to be sorted into, Celine wondered how they were to be sorted. Perhaps a spell-she could do those- or a duel? Or maybe-"The Sorting Ceremony's about to start." Professor McGonagall had returned. "Now, form a line," Professor McGonagall told the first-years, "and follow me."They walked back across the hall and through a set of heavy oak-ladden double doors, which lead to the great hall. Celine's eyes widened in amazement. Although her school was one of the finest in France, the Great Hall thrilled her. The wide open-looking ceiling was painted with thousands of stars that sparkled and glittered, and the Hall itself was decorated with thousands upon thousands of candles, floating above four long wooden tables, where many students sat. The tables were not full yet, but rather had empty plates and goblets made of gold, as well as hundreds of empty platters. Sitting amongst the students were- ghosts? Amazed and terrified, Celine held in a gasp, her lips widening and her mouth blossoming into a radiant smile. She had never seen a more beautiful and homely place. As the first years walked through, with Professor McGonagall in the front and Celine a step behind, students exchanged glances with each other, wondering who the mysterious girl in the front was. Celine had an aura of power, money, and beauty, which is what interested a blond boy with stormy mercury eyes. Why was she here? He wondered. I haven't seen her since Mother took me to Mrs. Dupont's chateau in France. After the sorting hat's warning speech, most of the students were a little shaken and weirded out by it. However, now it was time for the sorting ceremony."Dupont, Celine!"As Celine was called, she walked up the steps numbly. Mommy, Daddy, I wish you were here. I hope you are still watching me from above. Sliding onto the stool, she waited as the Professor placed an old, dusty hat onto her head.Hmmmm...... Surprised, Celine asked if it was talking to her in her mind.Of course. Replied the Sorting Hat.You are a tough one to place. Strong, to be holding on so tight to the river of emotions flowing through your mind. He will be there for you though, and you'll be alright. The sorting hat muttered.Ambitious, for you to yearn to become the best.Kind and Honest, with yourself, and to others.Smart, you are top of the class, and more than book smart.Do you have a House you prefer?"No," Celine whispered. "I don't. Please put me in the house that needs me the most. I want to help people."Smart.Ambitious.Strong.Kind.Which house should you go to? I think....SLYTHERIN! The hat boomed. The Hall went silent. Murmurs of "Slytherin?" echoed throughout the hall. "She doesn't look like a Slytherin." Then, one person from the Ravenclaw table started clapping. And one at the Gryffindor table started clapping too. Then, the Slytherin table. Soon the Hall was clapping for her, the Slytherin table being the loudest. As Professor McGonagall recovered from initial shock, she removed the hat from Celine. As she stood, Celine saw Luna and Harry stand up for her, bringing their tables along too. The Slytherins were beaming, with polite clapping too.A much-needed wave of relief crashed through her, and she made her way down to the Slytherin table, slipping into a seat beside a gorgeous girl, who introduced herself as Pansy. Looking around, she saw Hermione whispering to the other ⅔ of the trio, while glancing over at her. Hoping for a friendly face, she desperately swiveled to the Ravenclaw table, catching Luna's gaze, and smiled. Luna grinned right back at her. At least I have one friend here.
