Chapter 4: A Walk to Remember

Lando

The morning sun bathed Monaco in a gentle warmth, casting a soft glow over the city's picturesque streets. I, feeling a sense of anticipation, made my way towards Azure Creations. My attire for the day was casual yet stylish—a white button-down shirt paired with tailored trousers and comfortable sneakers, complemented by a casual jacket draped effortlessly over my shoulders. My aviator sunglasses rested on my face, and a confident smile played on my lips as I approached the gallery.

Upon arriving, Isabella greeted me warmly. She wore a simple yet elegant sundress adorned with subtle floral patterns, paired with sandals that echoed the Mediterranean vibe of Monaco. "Good afternoon, Lando," she said with a smile. "It's lovely to see you again."

Returning the smile, I felt a growing connection with Isabella, something I hadn't quite expected but certainly welcomed. "Good afternoon, Isabella. I was wondering if you'd like to join me for lunch?"

She hesitated for a moment, her heart racing at the unexpected invitation. "I'd love to," she replied, her excitement evident.

As we strolled towards a charming restaurant within walking distance of the gallery, a comfortable silence enveloped us—a silence I didn't mind. I enjoyed the quiet companionship and the serene beauty of Monaco.

Upon reaching the restaurant, we were seated at a cosy table overlooking the bustling street. My curiosity about the gallery's charm got the better of me. "Tell me, Isabella, how did you start Azure Creations? And how's it going for you?"

She shared the story of the gallery's inception, her passion for art, and the joy she derived from sharing her creations with others. As we delved deeper into the conversation, the meal progressed seamlessly, the conversation flowing effortlessly between us.

Curious about my plans in Monaco, Isabella asked, "So, what do you plan on doing in Monaco during the winter break?"

I shrugged, a playful smirk tugging at my lips. "I'm just going with the flow, enjoying the break until I get called back to work. I also hope to get to know you more," I added with a genuine smile.

Isabella blushed, her cheeks tinged with a rosy hue. "I'd like that," she replied softly, her eyes meeting mine.

As we finished our meal and prepared to head back to the gallery, I impulsively stopped by a nearby flower cart. My eyes scanned the vibrant array of blooms before settling on a beautiful bouquet of mixed flowers—roses, lilies, and daisies in a harmonious blend of colours.

"For you," I said with a charming smile, handing her the bouquet.

Taken aback by the thoughtful gesture, Isabella blushed again, her heart swelling with gratitude and affection. "Thank you, Lando," she replied, her voice tinged with emotion.

As we continued our walk back to Azure Creations, the afternoon sun casting a golden hue over the city, I couldn't help but feel a deepening connection with Isabella. The day's events had brought us closer, and I was excited to see where this unexpected journey would lead us.
