The police were swarming the place more agitated than usual. Perhaps it was the result of the League break-in. They didn't however expect the 'welcome party' to be for All Might. Shigaraki immediately bristled and Midoriya changed his gaze to look at the floor. It took about a quarter of an hour for All Might to approach their space.
"This is stupid. Firstly it won't work because the cube can only sustain damage from the inside and secondly if it did work he'd probably kill us." Midoriya said.
"Heroes, am I right?"
Air escaped Midoriya's nose as a some sort of soundless snort.
When All Might took a step back and poured his energy into one punch the cube violently shook. They knew the cube could technically be moved thanks to Compress's attempt, but surprisingly when it stopped wobbling it was in the same spot. Shigaraki and Midoriya were both sporting new bruises from bumping into eachother repeatedly during the cube's rocking.
"Interesting." Midoriya mumbled from his sprawled form on the floor.
Aizawa who had just arrived started to scold the number one hero. It seemed like not everyone gave their approval for the attempt to break them out. Everyone dissolved into shouting which eventually turned into everyone being escorted outside.
"I'm glad I can't hear what's going on outside."
"I hate missing information and not knowing what the others will do."
"Yeah but they'll at least grovel at your feet, imagine you get out of here, go back to pretending to be happy go lucky and you'll get the victim treatment which you didn't get when you were supposed to. It will be nice for the first days, then it will make you hate everyone-- but you already do-- and then everything will go back to normal."
"Can't go back to pretending, they probably already suspect me for how I've been behaving."
"You're convincing as fuck. If you still want to do it, you'll be able to convert them."
"Not Nezu. And I don't think I want that anymore."
"What will you do then?"
"I don't know." he said shrugging. "For once I don't."

Syntetic light poured from the mall's overhanged ligh features. Outside in contrast, was pitch black.
"I'm the best student in my class. I saved my friend from being imprisoned for attempted murder. I have a love-hate relationship with katsudon."
"I want to say two is the false one, but with all the shit your class experienced I'm not sure. Let's go with three."
"One was the lie."
"One? No shot."
"I downgrade myself on purpose so technically I'm not the best student in my class."
"Nah, that's ambiguous, it doesn't count."
"It does."
"It doesn't."
Midoriya sighed. "Fine, your turn."
"My hair is actually black. I hate my father. I have never played a Mario game."
"Three is the false one."
"How?"
"Well for the first one, the Marie Antoinette syndrome and for the second one, daddy issues."
He almost chocked. "Daddy issues?"
"It's much more fitting than you'd think."
"I do not have daddy issues!"
