Things I would loved if they were explored more in the show (also fic ideas)

(These idea may not be that good, please take everything I say with a grain of salt. If you want to take any idea, take it pls just make something out of it.)

I think for just a promotional anime, jewelpet twinkle did a great job in introducing the concept and the characters and making them somewhat relatable, but due to it being a kids' anime and probably for budget reasons a lot of interesting things were left untouched or unexplored. Usually, this is covered by the fanfics but this fandom is pretty much dead and nobody is really going to sit down and write a fic for a 14 year old anime (except me ofc). So, this is things I wished would've been explored in the show, but you can also think of it as fic ideas.

_ First of all I'm a huge fan of Monika's character. I feel like they could've done a lot more with her since she's pretty much the base of the entire anime's plot. If she didn't exist, Akari wouldn't have developed an inferiority complex and she wouldn't have needed Ruby's help. I always thought Monika deserved an episode from her perspective, or maybe just a couple of scenes really. As seen in Episode 33, she's also suffered from Akari pulling away from her. I think if you had some sort of scene where you show Monika's past, how she felt growing up in the entertainment industry and how lonely it made her feel and you had Akari see this somehow, it would've done a lot for Monika's character. Also, how is this 14 year old girl handling this much responsibility??? Like chill out girl you're gonna go gray before you even reach 18.

_ Akari's home life (if you couldn't tell already, I'm a sucker for family related tropes and fics). Just  her home life in general. I would've loved to see more of her interactions with her family, especially after her issues were resolved. We got a glimpse of it in the ova and in her diary but that ain't enough to me i guess.

_How Alma got accustomed to the rarerare  world. I feel like this is the one with the most fic potential. Alma's character definitelys still has some room for improvement and to me she seems the most interesting out of the entire cast. I just want to know how her grandmother felt like when she wakes up one day and suddenly her grand-daughter  and daughter-in-law are somehow alive again. How did Alma even get to middle school with literally no prior education is wild to me; But out of all that, I just know she had culture shock after culture shock for like the first 6 months she lived there.

_ At this point I'm literally just saying to give every character their own show but hear me out, The magical angels. Literally so much character potential and they were thrown out of the window, only showing up for like 2 episodes before the jewel star grandprix but man were those episodes fun. I know they were up to some stuff in France but the writers were simply too afraid to give my girls a chance.

And I think here I'm just going to give the fic ideas I had for quite some time now.

_ During the show, Akari being really mad at her sister once and storming off to jewel land wishing Monika never existed. Somehow, someway that wish is granted, probably through the principal's mail order gadgets; and Akari has to deal with the consequences.

_ Alma trying to set up Akari and Yuuma on a date but she's only been in the rarerare world for like 3 months so she doesn't have much knowledge to work with.

_ Monika's relationship with Alma. By some twist of fate, Monika becomes an older sister figure to Alma and she helps her figure out some stuff.

_ Marianne hearing that Leon is going to Japan so she decides to go too. Akari is walking home normally only to hear that obnoxious laugh and turns back to see a normal dressed Marianne walking towards her. Akari welcomes her home like it's nothing.

_ At some point Akari's parents are questioning her on how she managed to make so many foreign friends when they live in a small seaside town and Akari holds a virtual meeting with her friends trying to decide on an appropriate lie.

_ Akari is just walking down the street when she hears somebody scream "it's the jewelstar!" She turns around and it's a girl sprinting towards her, holding what is very clearly a jewelpet and Akari has no choice but to run too.

_ Akari is going through a period where the comparisons with her older sister are kind of getting to her and she can't rely on Alma and Yuuma either because they're also popular so she gets compared to them too sometimes. By a twist of fate, she meets the only other person in the school who can relate to her. Katrina, the second most popular girl at school after Monika and someone who has been compared to her more times than she can count. They develop a friendship and realize they have so much more in common that they thought.

I guess this is it for now. I have more ideas but I don't think anybody is reading this in its entirety, if anyone read it all. I'm kind of preaching into the void here but I hope somewhere down the line if I get over jewelpet, somebody just as obsessed as me finds this and it saves them the ton of rabbit holes I've fallen into while researching this anime. If anybody does in fact read this, literally just say anything. If you want to take an idea, take it, if you want to leave an idea, leave it, if you just want to talk about the show, I'll gladly do so you with you. Anyway, this turned into a TMI but I made this in the first place to find fellow jewelpet twinkle obsessed people so if you're one of them hmu.
