On the walk back the rain had lightened up, but they were still soaked by the time they had gotten to her alleyway.

“Oh no, it's this way,” Zillah corrected when Erebus tried to walk past the correct path. She took Erebus’s wrist and led him into the alleyway.

“It’s in here?” Erebus asked.

“Out of the guard’s patrol range,” she explained

“That makes sense.”

They walked for a little bit longer before Zillah finally announced, “All right, here we are.”

Her face was tight as she made jazz hands at all the tent’s rickety glory.

“That's honestly…not what I was expecting,” Erebus murmured.

“I figured. But here, let’s get out of the rain,” Zillah lifted up the corner of a sheet, allowing them both to crawl inside.
It was very cramped inside with two people. For Zillah it was usually quite spacious in all consideration. She could even stand , somewhat. But now neither of them could barely sit in the same tent. Erebus was significantly taller than Zillah and he kept bumping his head on one of the brooms acting as a support beam. Zillah sat near her little cooking setup, trying to straighten things up a bit to allow them both more room.

“So, nice place you've got here,” Erebus told her.

“Why thank you,” Zillah said, playing along. “These are state of the art sheets that I stole from the hotel’s dumpster down the road.”

“Wait, really?”

“Yeah, I have to change them out every few months due to the rain and stuff. In Fact, I believe that I should probably do that sometime this week,” she pointed to the stains and holes in one of the sheets.

“Huh.”

“I’d offer you something to drink, but the only thing that I've really got is a half dranken, day-old, soda.”

“It’s fine, let’s just get down to business. What all do we have to work with?”

Zillah pulled out her lockbox. She lifted the corner of the carpet to find a small tupperware container stuck in a crack of the concrete. She took off the lid and grabbed the key to open up the lockbox. She replaced the key back to its hiding spot. “So we’ve got 7'000 dollars, a knife, a rope, a gun, and one gold bar.

Erebus’s mouth dropped open, “How did you get a gold bar?” he exclaimed.

“I have my ways.”

“Please tell me that does not include the gun?” he begged.

“No! What do you take me for, a heathen?” she said in mock hurt.

“Do you really want me to answer that?”

“Ha. Ha,” she rolled her eyes, “Now let's make a plan.”

“But seriously, how did you get that?”

“If you must know, someone hired me to rob a bank. She said that if i did, she’d pay me a gold bar,

“You realize you just admitted to a crime, right?” Erebus asked

“Do you realize that you could’ve just gone straight to the police the second I broke into your family’s bank? Or better yet, once I nearly shot you, and you haven’t once talked about the police.”

“Fair point,” he laughed.

“And now that you’ve kept this from the cops, you are now an accomplice. You can and will go to jail with me if you go to the cops,” Zillah smiled sweetly.
