Ah Summer vacation... The best time of year where there's no school for two whole months, where you can relax at the beach or pool, and go to fun places like a water park! Or if you're a teenager who finally became old enough to get a job, you may try to get a good paying job to make some good amount of money out of it. Which was what our main protagonist was doing are now.
Our protagonist of this story was a 16 year old girl named Lillith, she was very smart, very creative with her work, and loved by her family and friends. She did great at school and exceeded academically, but she wasn't perfect and she was fine with that. Now let's start our story shall we?
It was a Saturday night at the start of Summer vacation, Lillith was looking online to find a job that was hiring and that had a good salary, but there wasn't really much to offer. Most of the jobs she wanted were either not hiring or didn't let people under 18 work there.
"UUUUUGGGGGHHHHHH! For Christ sake! There has to be at least one restaurant that'll let a 16 year old work there! Hell! I'll take washing the dishes as my first job in a restaurant!" She groaned in frustration, almost ready to call it quits for the night.
Until she found it... An a job that was hiring and... Was a restaurant. Finally! However, when she click on it... It was not what she expected it to be. It was for an old restaurant called "Fanboy's Frosty Mart".... Wait... THAT EXISTS?! Never in her life has she heard about a Fanboy and Chum Chum themed restaurant before, AND IT WAS NEAR GREENSBURG THE WHOLE TIME?!?! Now that's a win! She looked more into the details on the job, but it wasn't for a cook or something like that... It was a security guard shift... At night... She then looked at the salary amount and her jaw dropped. 100 BUCKS PRE HOUR?!?! Okay, this was too good to be true, but she couldn't pass it up. She decided that tomorrow she would go to the restaurant to check it out and hopefully get hired, until then... She needed a good night's sleep, so she turned off her lamp and layed down, preparing for the day ahead.
*Time skip*
The next day, Lillith had found the address of the restaurant and her parents drove her there, however... Her parents were a bit skeptical about the restaurant. "Lillith, are you sure you want this job?" Her dad asked, concerned and worried for her. "Yes Dad, I'm sure I do. There's nothing to worry about." She reassured him. "It's just... Don't you think it's weird that some restaurant we've never heard of is willing to hired a 16 year old for a pay of 100 bucks pre hour for a security guard NIGHT shift?" "I do admit... Your father has a point." Her mom murmured, agreeing with her husband. "You guys, I'll be fine. Again there's nothing to worry about. Oh! We're here!" She announced as they pulled up to the restaurant and... It wasn't exactly what she thought it was... It looked old and run down... Like it hadn't been active in years... "Okay... Final check... Do you really want this job? If not, I'll drive us back home right now." Her dad said in an uneasy tone, a bit scared. "Yep... I'm sure..." She said as she stepped out of the car, getting a closer look at the place. Her father sighed before parking some where close to the restaurant so when the interview was done, they could pick her up and leave.
Lillith stood there for a moment, looking at the front sign of the place. It was Fanboy holding a frosty freezey freeze with words around the sign that said 'Fanboy's Frosty Mart', along with bright colors that were faded from years of rain and rust with some vines growing around it. Lillith took a deep breath before walking to the door and knocking on it. "Hello. I'm here for the interview. Is anyone there?" She knocked before the door automatically opened on its own, startling her a bit. 'Okay then...' She then walked into the restaurant, seeing the inside of it.
The place was definitely old, there was dust everywhere and some of the games were completely destroyed, like they were smashed with something. She then saw a stage with curtains in the back, making her walked toward it in curiosity. She stared at it for a few minutes before hearing something that sounded like.... Crying? She looked to her left to see another stage that was smaller than the main stage, hearing the source of the crying from there. She walked closer to see what the source of the crying was, before seeing the plate on the front of the stage saying the name, 'Sigmund the Sorcerer', her favorite character. She reached for the curtain in curiosity to see what was behind it until...
"Look what you see?" Lillith yelped in surprise, causing her to fumble a bit before turning around to see a man standing behind her. "Oop! Sorry, didn't mean to startle you." The man said kindly before helping her back up. "No no its fine. I just get startled pretty easily." She returned as she dusted of her pants. "So... You're the girl that called me last night about the job. Lillith was it?" "Yep. That's me." The two shook hands kindly. "My name's Russell. I'm the manager of this place." He said kindly with a smile. "Ok... Russell... Umm.... May I ask... Why is it so.... Dead?" Lillith asked nervously, a bit worried. "Oh! Well, it used to popular back in the early 2000's, but when the show got cancelled back in 2014, people just stopped coming. They were planning to tear it down, but the owners just weren't ready to let it go yet." Russell explained, his face showing a bit of sadness. "Ok I guess that makes sense. But... Why are some of games here broken? Its like they were smashed or something." "Oh! Yeah, some robbers broke in her and vandalized the place. They even damaged one of the animatronics!" He said in anger and annoyance. "Did the cops ever catch them?" "Nope! In fact, they didn't even take any money. Its like they just... Disappeared.... My guess they didn't find any money so they just left."
"Okay...." Lillith murmured, a bit worried about what happened to the robbers. "So... How many hours am I doing? It never said on the website." "Oh! You work from 12pm to 6am. It's not really that hard of a job, all you gotta do is keep an eye on the monitors. Easy peasy!" Russell said in delight with a thumbs up. 'Okay, that's on too bad.' "So... When do I start?" "You can start tomorrow night since tomorrow's Monday, you'll be working from Monday to Friday and have the weekends, holidays and other things off. Not too bad isn't it." Russell said after explaining how the job works, with Lillith agreeing with the terms. After a bit of talking, Lillith was about to leave before, "Oh! By the way, I forgot to mention. The animatronics become more... Alive at night... So I'd keep a close eye on them if I were you... See you tomorrow!"
Russell then left to his office, leaving Lillith a bit confused on what he meant by that. But she shook it off and left, preparing for tomorrow night. But was completely unaware of the stares she got from certain animatronics, happy to play with their new friend....
