...

A week later

"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?! I KNOW I DIDN'T RAISE A GAY SON." You moved your phone away from your ear as your mother shouted in the phone. " I WANT YOU TO STOP SEEING THAT BOY! YOU HEAR ME?!"

you Tightened your hold on the phone, your eyes narrowed, your blood boiled from anger.

"It's disgusting, I thought I raised you well." You heard your mother sigh in the phone. "It looks like my expectations of you living a normal went down the drain."

"..."

'Expectations?' You thought disbelieving, your mother never once cared about you, but now.

"Mother." She traumatized you as you grew up. "I will not break up with him." You were lucky that your grandparents took you in as they realized that their daughter in law was treating you horribly.

"I am your mother -" you interrupted her.

"You were never a mother." You hissed. "And why is it that you called me just to yell at me? Just because I'm gay and I'm with a person who is the same gender as me? As well knowing I'm famous as you told me to break up with the person I love." Your whole body trembled at how pissed you are.

"Well, get this, Mother." You said mother in a sarcastic tone. "You will not be invited when I get married, not until you open your eyes, then you can visit me."

You hanged up the phone, you were thankful that sae was at soccer practice so he wouldn't have to witness what just happened.

You took a seat at the kitchen table, and you buried your face in your hands. Old memories flooded in your mind.

You remember your mother hurtful words as well, her judgment looks, showing how she truly feels.

Verbal abuse is what your mother did to you. Emotionally drained you, making you always feel bad.

You scoffed, remembering when she complained about how all her beauty went straight to you as well as calling you insulting words.

15 years you put up with your mother, the only support you had was your father, who is a caring person.

The only thought you had was. Why does father stay with your mother? Well, he always has a gloomy face.

You never asked and didn't want to know. Then the day came that your grandparents took you away as your father thought it was a good idea.

Now you're 20 with a career as a basketball star player with a new apartment.

"Y/n?" You took your face out your hands, looking at the source of the voice who spoke a few seconds ago. "Rin..." You breathed out. "I took it. Have you heard all of that?"

Rin nodded. "I'm sorry that you heard all that." You apologized with a half-hearted smile. "Don't tell your brother, I will tell him what happened, okay?" You exclaimed.

"Fine, but are you fine after that?" Rin asked, trying his best to get along with you since somewhere in the future, you will be his brother-in-law.

Your eyes dimmed for a moment. "Yeah, she's always like that." You wave off his conceren. "Anyway, I take it. My mother saw it from this,"

You raised a magazine, and the front cover had a picture of you kneeling on your knee showing the ring to sae.

The front line said

'The famous basketball player, l/n y/n, give a promise ring to our star midfield soccer player....is there a bright future for the two?'

Rin stared at it. He had already seen it on his phone. "That's everywhere, especially on Soical media."

You groaned. "I know my phone kept on getting notifications from all the fans tagging me." You left your phone in the living room, leaving it be.

"Anyway... how do you feel about this?" You titled your head. "I know that I asked you permission for your brother, but I don't know how you actually feel about this."

If you were in his shoes, you probably would feel different emotions. But you don't have a sibling, so you wouldn't know.

Rin gazed at the magazine, taking in the picture and seeing the look on sae face. The impassive look his older brother usual has was nowhere in sight.

Rin could see how his brother eyes shined as well as a barely smile. "I'm fine." He answered. "Take good care of him when the time comes."

You smiled as rin left after he said all that to you.

It seems that your boyfriend and his brother are making progress with each other.

You could see it, the differences between the two. Which is a good thing now.

You got up to go to the living room to relax, waiting for sae to come back from his practice.

You chuckled, turning on the TV, remembering you always massage sae when he comes back from practice.

You don't mind since you could get a feel on him. You slapped your forehead. "Gosh, I am a pervert..." You muttered with flushed cheeks.

You now believe what See always said to you of being a pervert.

You just realized he was right. Well, can you blame him? Your boyfriend is just too attractive.

You shaked your head to get those thoughts out of your head. You looked back to the TV.

2 hours later

Low music played as you were in the kitchen preparing dinner. You hummed as you swing your hips to the beat of the song.

You stried the soup. This dinner is for everybody, so you made your favorite soup, which is chicken tomato soup.

You were still a little angry as well, feeling down.

You were to forcus that you didn't even hear the front door shut as sae walked into the kitchen.

Sae quietly looked at you, squinted his eyes as he noticed your aura. he silently walked towards and leaned on the wall beside you and gave a sigh. "Y/n? Is something bugging you?"

You flinched as you heard his voice not expecting him to be here. "Huh?" You turned to him slightly. "Oh, umm, I'm okay?"

Sae raised his brow, hearing your voice sounding like a questioning tone to yourself. You huffed. "..no I'm not...: you turned back to the soup your string. "My mother called me..."

Sae tense for a moment cause you don't talk about your family except that one time you showed him how you actually look. "..what did she want?"

You tightened your hold on the spoon. "I'm going to be honest." You declared glaring at the counter. "My 'mother' hates gay people. " You chuckled. "Yes, that's including me."

With a clink when you sat the spoon down as well looked at sae with a half-hearted smile on your face. "...the call was just her yelling at me to take back the promising ring"

You walked to sae, putting your forehead on his, looking deeply into his eyes. "But I love you, and I don't want that." You gave him a peck. "That's why I'm in this mood."

You went back to the soup, seeing it boiling. "Huh..it's done." You smiled, getting to eating your second favorite food dish.

Sae silently stared for a few seconds, then got the bowls and set them on the table. "Sae could you -" You turned to tell him to set up the table the moment you did. You stopped talking as you saw he had already done that.

Sae raised a brow at you. You just chuckled. "Thank you." You whispered out to him with a gentle smile.

"Hphm." He turned away from you, but you could see that he was flustered. Sae, on the other hand, was just now content seeing you better now.

"Rin! Food is done for everybody!" You shouted out for them to come down as you put soup in one bowl.

Sae just slightly smiled at you.
