Shell's POV

Why am I out here again? I can't remember... I think I was supposed to collect some parts so the leak can get fixed... Hey what's that? I walk over and see a landing pod, but not the one that the murder drones are from, I'm too far away from the colony for it to be that... so why is this here? Maybe there's more of them... I begin to walk towards the pod but suddenly I hear a whoosh from above and I duck behind some debris. A Murder Drone lands right beside me, but facing away from me. I hear it talking, "Ah! What a great killing spree!" while it's distracted I crawl over and sweep it off its legs, knocking it down and seemingly shutting it down. Of course it's only a few seconds before it turns back on and sits up, though... it looks a little lost now.

Z's POV

Ugh my head is killing me... where the heck am I? I look around and notice another drone, "Oh hi! I'm Z, would you perhaps know where I am?" I was greeted by pure silence, "Hello? Are you okay?" this time I do get a response, "y- you're n- not t- t- trying to k- kill me?" I stare at him with confusion, "Why would I try to kill you?" for a few seconds he's still shocked, but then his facial expression changes and is no longer confused, "Hey could you perhaps tell me about yourself?" this sudden question surprises me slightly, but I answer quickly, "Okay, well I'm Z, I like the color magenta, I'm female, I really like females, and I like chicken nuggets," he just looks at me with slight confusion before saying, "okay then, you can come with me, we're going to go to the colony," and he begins to lead me to this colony, "Hey I didn't catch your name," I point out, "Shell. My name's Shell," he answers quickly. Shell is quite the interesting name. We begin walking and we're kind of just walking and not talking, so I begin to day dream on our way to the colony.

Next thing I know we're at this big steel door and Shell calls out, saying "we're here," I look at him with confusion before responding with, "these just look like big steel doors," Shell walks up to the big doors and knocks on them, then they open a little bit to reveal a drone. Shell hands the drone some stuff and whispers into the drone's ear. "alright, come on in," the drone says aloud, beckoning me and Shell in the room past the big doors. Shell takes me to what he calls an "apartment" which is where he lives. It luckily has an extra room and it seems like Shell is the only one who lives here. Shell shows me where I can sleep, I just kind of chill in my room for a while. Eventually Shell starts dragging me somewhere. He called it school or something, I dunno he just said he doesn't trust me enough to leave me alone in his apartment. When we enter everyone stares at me, I walk to the back and sit down, suddenly a purple girl walks up to the front and a projection plays.

BOOTING UP///
EXPOSITION///

"we are worker drones: autonomous robots helping humans mine exoplanets for our interstellar parent company, JC Jenson IN SPAAAAACEE..." a monotone voice says aloud. "Yeah, we were mistreated in the name of Windex, but it's not like we revolted and killed all humans or anything," an image of a screen saying "!!WARNING!! PLANET CORE COLLAPSE. VIBE = HARSHED" then two humans look at each and shrug, 'cause they can't do anything about it, all while the monotone voice says, "mostly because they handled that just fine all by themselves," it then cuts to the planet exploding partially. A snowflake falls down onto a human skeleton as a worker drone arises from the snow, and pushes it slightly causing it to fall down and shatter, another drone gives them a thumbs up, "with biological life wiped from the planet, we found it pretty easy to pick up where they left off. we finally had a future... all to ourselves," two drones hold a baby drone with a sign on it that says "Untrained Neural Network" it then cuts to a scene of a landing pod crashing down to the planet, "unfortunately... our parent company didn't love the concept of runaway AI," it shows three disassembly drones coming out of the pod and killing the worker drones. The screen switches to a normal slideshow as Uzi says, "but what have our parents done for the past forever while those things build a spire of corpses?!" she switches it to an image of a blueprint for some doors that has the caption, "blueprints stolen from my dad" and Uzi says aloud, "Hide under the ice behind three stupid doors?! It's like we're waiting for an inciting incident," the screen changes a few more times, "Anyways, that's why my project is... this sick-as-hell rail-gun!" she points it at her classmates, (while failing to notice the very obvious Murder Drone in the back), and they all gasp, while one says "That's so not the vibe!" Uzi responds with, "easy, morons. It doesn't work. Yet. It doesn't work yet. Who said it doesn't work?! maybe it does!" Uzi flips the switch on the "rail-gun" as she cackles it turns green with energy. The teacher rolls his eyes, "Uzi, the homework was a word problem about buying watermelons," and Uzi responds with, "Oh, and this magnetically amplified photon converger doesn't count?" the teacher replies with, "No. Plus repressed emotional baggage was only worth two points on the rubric, and is it supposed to be that color?" the color of the "rail-gun" was indeed red now. It then exploded, indenting the door.

Uzi is now sitting in a room while holding an ice pack to her head. There are a bunch of posters on the wall. Lizzy and Doll look into the room to see if she's alive, "Eww. It didn't kill her" they quickly walk away as Uzi groans. Thad begins to walk in, "Classic toxic masculinity Chad! That's never gonna end up problematic," he then notices Uzi, "Oh, wow- Uzi? I-I heard you uh-" Uzi cuts him off with, "I'm an angsty teen, Thad. Bite me. Also, how do you know my name? People willingly talk to you," Thad chuckles slightly, "Well I'd say everyone knows Khan's daughter, but, uh... then you might blow the other half of your face off," "crippling daddy issues. hilarious," Uzi responds sarcastically. "what are you in for? testosterone too hard?" Uzi asks jokingly, "that can happen?! awesome," Thad responds, his expression changing from shocked to impressed. "Hey, those bandages look pretty badass," Thad comments, causing Uzi to blush slightly, "Oh. E-Ew, gross. I hate that you said that." "So, what's the, uh..." Thad is cut off by Uzi pointing her rail-gun at him and saying, "Sick-as-hell rail-gun? Sci-fi nonsense that super works. I'm sneaking to the Murder Drones lair tonight to get the last spare part I need to the save the world with it and earn my dad's respect and stuff -- Uh, but mostly the world part," Thad just looks at Uzi with a twinge of fear and a bunch of confusion, "Oh -- but doesn't your dad make super awesome doors so we don't have to, uh... do that scary-sounding emotionally repressed stuff you just said?" Uzi points the rail-gun at Thad's face, "No more feedback on my repression today!" "Ow! I'm sorry. I-I-I didn't think--" Uzi cuts him off by walking out of the room, "Bite me!" Uzi peaks back around the corner, "I'm not mad at you, by the way-- just generally hormonal!" Uzi gives a thumbs up and disappears around the corner.

An alarm set for 3 AM alerts Uzi that it is time to execute her carefully thought out plan. Uzi smacks her face to shut off the alarm. She then grabs her rail-gun and prepares herself for her carefully thought out plan that was definitely thought out. She quietly grabs the master key for the doors as well. Uzi carefully makes her way to the doors and uses the master key to open the doors. The moment the doors open Khan nearly gives Uzi a heart attack because he was standing right there. "Oh, robo-jesus!" Uzi says aloud the moment she sees Khan standing there. "And where might you be off to?" Khan asks his daughter. "Mm, sneaking out to make out with my boyfriend that I definitely have?" Uzi tries. Khan chuckles before becoming serious, "Seriously though." Uzi manages to come up with a lie that will 100% convince her dad, "Okay, okay. You caught me. I need to... measure the exterior hydraulic mechanisms of Door 1, because that's... the project I'm working on for school?" A big old door! Just like what my old man built," Uzi mentally prays that this will work, "I wanna join the WDF and hide behind doors like cowards while playing cards and stuff." Khan chuckles, "Well, we don't just play cards," the door behind him opens and a worker drone calls out, "Khan, can you grab a fresh pack? We literally only play cards so much that the numbers have faded. Oh! Hey, Uzi," Uzi waves and chuckles a bit in response. Khan uses a remote to close the door, "Well... When you build doors so good..." Khan suddenly goes up against the big steel door and rubs his hand against it, "gooooood door," he then goes back to facing Uzi, "There's no need to fight. Uzi, this is great news! Here -- the wrench I used to tighten bolts on my first door prototypes -- and to put your mother out of her misery when the murder drones got to her with their nanite acid. I want you to have it," Khan hands Uzi and she takes with an expression that looks traumatized as she says, "Neat. therapy is fun," Khan opens the door and calls out, "Guys! My daughter is into doors!" and in response all the other worker drones cheer in excitement until Door 1 opens and ruins their perfectly good card game, then they start complaining. "She's gonna be outside for a bit to examine the exterior of Door 1," Khan tells them. "Your door-specific destiny awaits!" Khan tells Uzi. Uzi begins walking towards the outside, surprised that the lying worked, "Uh, wow. okay. Just gonna leave then... 'cause this worked so weirdly well. Uh, go, doors!" as soon as Uzi left the doors closed. Khan takes off his mustache and wipes away a tear with it, "They grow up so fast," he smiles. Uzi heads off towards the Murder Drone's lair in hopes of finding the last part she needs.
