Ocean and Indigo were collaborating on a stage musical, currently in the process of composing the villain's main song.

"See the void consuming all the world/Watch all reality be unfurled," the second verse ended, leading the way to a third.

"How about we begin it with, 'Tell me it all, the voices insist'?" Ocean interrupted Indigo's train of thought.

"'Tell me it all, the voices insist,'" She pondered the words, "What does that even mean?"

Ocean shrugged, "I dunno, I just thought it sounded good. Maybe it's the voices of the hero's loved ones begging them to submit to the villain so they'll live? Or something like that."

"That... doesn't make sense," Indigo responded, "The line should be something more obviously related to the subject of the song."

Ocean leaned back in their chair. "Well, can you think of anything better? You're usually the lyricist anyway."

Indigo thought for a moment. "'Surrender to me, you know I insist?'"

Ocean's eyes narrowed, "That wouldn't make sense either, it would conflict with the previous verse, 'keep on struggling, trying to resist.' Why ask for one thing, then immediately demand another?"

"'The bad guy will win, the final plot twist?'"

"Too self-referential."

"Hmm..." Indigo thought. "'Never remembered, you won't make the list?'"

Ocean pondered this. "Sounds good." And so the two continued on writing.
