With a gift in my hand. I was on my way to ask him out. The guy who got my attention the moment I saw him. WIN...WIN METAWIN.
Mike and Gun were with me. I saw him standing alone talking to someone on phone.
I was standing maintaining a distance and accidentally overheard his conversation with someone.
"Yes love, I will come to pick you up at 2 p.m. Don't worry" Win said with a smile on his face.
And my heart shattered into million pieces. I somehow managed to leave that place. I tried to act that I was okay but I couldn't because I was not.
Mike hugged me. And I cried on his shoulder for a while. "I love him Mike." I sobbed while crying.
Once I came back to my senses. I decided to give up. No doubt I loved him but his happiness mattered more than anything else to me.
I still couldn't stop looking at him from afar. I used to admire him from afar. I even saw him hugging a girl in front of the high school who I later got to know is his girlfriend.
I was happy as long as I knew that Win is happy.
Though I cried my heart out when I got to know that Win is going to marry.
Present Time (Author's POV)
Bright entered the venue and the first thing he did was to look if Win was here or not.
He looked everywhere but Win was not there. He called Khaotung to confirm if Win was coming or not.
"Hey, you guys are not here yet..you are coming right?" Bright asked.
"Yes bro, we are on our way we will reach there in 10 minutes and yeah he is with us so don't worry" He replied in affirmative
Some of his old friends came to meet him.
"Hi Bright, how are you" Tu said "Oh heyy..I am good what about you!" "I am also good" she replied with a smile.
"Hey bro, long time no see ha!" Gulf offered a handshake. "Hi Gulf, what's up!" "By the way I saw you in the newspaper yesterday, your company is doing wonders for real! I am so happy for you!" "Thankyou so much Gulf!" Bright replied.
He also met Nani,Dew and Tay. Though he was talking to his friends but he still kept looking at the door.
And then the star of the party entered. WIN METAWIN. He was looking stunning. He still had this smile on his face which made Bright fall for him years ago and was still not over it.
His heart skipped a beat. He was feeling a rush of emotions. He was feeling a mix of excitement and joy and even a little nervousness.
"He still looks the same...even after 10 years. His smile is still warm and gentle. It's like when he smiles, their eyes light up and their cheeks have a soft, adorable curve, just like a cute little bunny. It's the kind of smile that can brighten up anyone's day." He thought.
He noticed that heavenly figure coming towards him...oh not actually him but towards someone who is behind him.
"Hey Nani, how are you doing?" Win offered a handshake to him.
He saw them laughing and talking for a while. Mike and Gun came and pushed Bright towards Win.
Gunsmile started "Hi Win, how are you? I hope you remember me!"
Bright thought "Ofcourse he doesn't we three never talked to him in school."
After seeing Win's confused reaction Mike continued "haha..I don't think you do, I am Mike, you can call me Mr. Handsome and he is Gunsmile and this beautiful guy right here is Br-"
"Bright Vachirawit?" Mike got interrupted by Win.
Mike raised his eyebrows and asked with a smirk. "Aha..so you know him?" Bright was standing there all blank not knowing what to say.
"Not actually, I just saw him in the newspaper. I had no idea that he was in my highschool only. It's good to know that he was with us!." Win added.
"Hi W-Win" Bright said not knowing that his face was looking like a red tomato.
"Hi Bright, wait..you know me?" Win asked. Bright just smiled in response.
"Win! Come here" Khaotung who was already drunk called his friend from afar.
"Wait, I am coming! So I will see you guys later." Win said and made his way towards Khaotung.
"Broo!! He already knows your name!!" Mike got excited
"Oh" Bright was still lost.
"What 'oh'? Aren't you happy!?" Gun asked.
When he came back to his senses he repied with a huge smile on his face,"He knows my name! Gun he knows my namee!!! I mean I am actually on cloud 9 right now it's just that I am not able to express it!"
"But you are already expressing it...whatever" Mike said.
"Let's go meet others now" Gun said and the trio went back to their old friends.
"Khaotung, can we talk?" Bright asked. "Yeah sure what is it?" Khaotung replied.
"I wanted to ask about Win's job..Is he still working at his ex father in law's company?"Bright asked.
"No, he is not..he got fired the day his ex wife told his father that Win wanted to separate.." Khaotung said.
"What!? But that doesn't make sense how can he take a decision like this because of a private issue!"
"I know right, it's quiet immature of him but this is what it is..Win is trying his best to find a job but he is not able to.." Khaotung said.
"Can I have his resumè? I mean can you help me get it? I might be of some help.."
"I am not sure Bright. Why don't you ask him about this yoursel-"
"Guyss! We are taking some group photos why don't you join us!?" First came running from afar.
"Yeah sure, we are coming!...Let's go Bright" Khao said.
Khao ran to stand next to First while Bright was slowly walking finding a place to stand...He just ended up standing at the corner beside Gulf.
"Excuse me sir, you are not coming in the frame..can you stand a little closer."
"We are already stuck like a bunch of magnet...Bright you come here!" Mike added. Bright just nodded and went to Mike.
Win was standing in between with Baifern by his side.
Man asked "Bright you come in the centre. You were not less than a star for our batch..Win I hope you won't mind!"
"Why would I! it's a pleasure for me as well." Win said with a smile.
