The past two days passed in a blink as we prepared ourselves for the result day. Mom and dad were sitting beside me as I typed my roll no and other details to check the result. As the clock striked 11:00, I clicked on the enter button and my heart beat increased 2 times faster. As the result were loading, my anxiousness increased. I closed my eyes, clutching both of my palms in my parents respectively. Yes! They love me, like a lot but are against my passion for music. That's the only thing which have created a crack in our relationship but I'm sure it will be fine with time. Before the result came on the screen, my phone rang.
"I will pick the phone. I don't have strength to see it anyway. Can you check and inform me please?" I pleaded them and they nodded in response. I went upstairs in my room to talk comfortably while lying on my couch.
It's Aria's call.
"Yes Aru!"
"Hey Miss beautiful! Have you checked your result?" She screamed from the other side of the phone.
"It's still loading. I think the server is down due to massive use by the students."
"Yeah! Maybe... But...but... Let me share some good news with you. I and Aelia have been selected in both of the Universities which we applied. It means... If you and Adira get selected in any of them, we can accompany you there."
"Oh wow! Congratulations Aru! And many more to Aelia."
"Ahhhhhhh!"
Before I speak further, we heard a scream. It's none other than my mom.
"What happened to mom? Is everything alright?" Aria asked.
"Yeah! Aria, I will call you later. I have to check what happened there."
"Sure! Will talk on our group call. Bye!"
And she hung up on the call. I rushed downstairs to check upon her.
"What happened mom? Dad?" I asked panicking.
She came and crushed me in a tight hug leaving gentle kisses on my forehead.
"You did it, beta! I'm so proud of you." Dad spoke from behind.
"I did wha-.... I got selected?" I was surprised.
"Yeah! Not only in one but in all the four universities which we applied for you." Mom spoke excitedly.
I was on cloud nine hearing the shocking news which I received just now. Damn! It means I can go to the same University as them.
