Contrary to my uncle's words, Mr. Knight infact did not fly down to meet me before the wedding. What a romantic, he wanted to be surprised by the bride straightaway on the wedding day.

I  was informed he was currently wrapping up work in London before permanently shifting to their New York headquarters. How convenient it must be. Unfortunately for me I can't wrap up my semesters in the same way and so I had absolutely no clue what I was to do.

Somehow my best friend Cora took the news of my wedding way more calmly.  She gave me the classic "At least you are marrying rich" speech completely ignoring the fact that I was infact already rich and then she started singing Diamond's are a Girl's Best friend before i had to knock her down with some sense.

After we had our satisfactory share of throwing pillows at each other which consisted of less pillow throwing and more sumo fighting, we finally decided to search up my elusive husband because what better place to know about your significant other than Google. I mean it's not like you usually get to know the person by talking to them right?

While much questions remained about his personality he sure was a sight for sore eyes. Oh yes, I am not one to deny beauty when I see it and I saw plenty in him but it stood nothing next to his body count it seems.

Hmm. Interesting. I for one wouldn't have minded who he fucks or how much he fucks, I mean you do you boy. In this century people don't even mind u being identified as a chair much less a nymphomaniac but there was this small thing about us being brought together by some "till death do us part" vows and it seems my name was being dragged through the mud because of him. Hold your horses paparazzi this guy didn't even want to see me it seems, don't go making me pregnant just yet.

"Dude look at this one, it says you two were caught in an orgy by your guardians and that's why you are being forced to being married now", Cora chuckles and says. "Ya, I really don't see that one working out like weren't these the people saying this was the most unexpected match of the century? That it came out of nowhere? I don't see how the two stories go together", I reply. Did I have to do the publishers work as well now? Proofread their theories, like man at least make it sound believable.

Cora quips, "I mean seeing his past record it's not that unbelievable. Maybe he can teach you his ways". I know she was just teasing me but the glare I throw her way shuts her up real quick. I mean don't get me wrong I'm no wet behind the ears fellow either but I tend to be more on the discrete side which I believe is the normal behavior. Maybe he missed to manual for rich kids who have an image to protect. Men do have a tendency to be impatient. For a 32 year old man I would expect someone with more maturity.

He did seem to handle his business well, winning several industry and business awards. He sure had an authoritative air about him. Surely being such a successful man could grant him the pleasure of donning a smile. But no, even with his "dates" all he had on his face was the ever present scowl. If not for the fact that he was spotted taking the ladies to hotels every time and only leaving alone in the morning, letting the girls have their own walk of shame, I would've thought he was as rigid my convent school's principal.

The wedding is to take place in a week. Honestly it doesn't feel like I'm to be wed. For all it's worth at least I'll get a bachelor's party. One night of endless shenanigans promised by my friends, as if my dear fiancé's scandals weren't enough I'll have my own share to add to the family name.

"So we have decided where we are gonna take you for your bachelor's party ". I look at Cora through surprised eyes. If I didn't already know that Cora had the worst predictions ever, I would've suggested her to open a tarot reading session for the way she seemed to read by mind.

"And where would this be Cora Darling?", I ask. Knowing her it would be some flashy club in East village or something . Not that I'm against it.

"Where's the fun if i tell you that now?", that bitch winks at me. I sigh. As long as it's not Las Vegas I guess.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Maybe Cora should really invest in those tarot cards.

"Guys really? Las Vegas? And you all say I am the cliche one" My glare was only answered with 4 amused smiles.

"Calm down Vi, I am not sure your idea of all of us dressing up as the corpse bride and go round the city searching for "Victor" and leave people confused for your bachelorette party makes sense. C'mon let's save that for Halloween. We also actually have something interesting albeit a little more practical planned", Suzy tells me.

Huh? What was wrong with my idea? I am not trying to be quirky but I saw these people in Pinterest do it and it seemed really fun. Still I decide to trust Suzy's Korean instincts. I have never regretted watching dramas she recommended. She definitely has a superior taste among all of us.

"And what is it oh so interesting thing you all have planned for me?"

"A masquerade ball", shouts Sara this time while simultaneously bringing out bejeweled masks she was holding behind her back which i seemed to have missed out before.

Okaaayyyyy...That was definitely interesting...

I raise my eyebrow at her "Are you sure it's a good idea?". She raises an eyebrow back at me, "Says the one who wanted 5 corpse brides on the streets of New York City."

She did have a point there. Maybe that wasn't really that good of an idea.

"Oh God fine, I am down" I say thinking I should stop acting like a brat.

"Yesssssss" Suzy ,Sara, Cora and Elisa cheer together. "Now that we are on the same boat it's time for us to get rea-", before Suzy could finish somebody's phone began ringing. "Oh that should be Ritesh, I better go take it", Sara says.

Ritesh was Sara's fiancé and they had the cutest relationship ever. They were both Indians but were born here. Ritesh's family owned one of the biggest oil companies in India and Sara's father had his own successful architecture firm. Their family were friends and when they got to know of their relationship, they couldn't be happier. Eventually they got engaged and now are happily planning their upcoming wedding after their graduations.

Cant say I'm not envious of her. I wish I had a normal relationship like her but seems like not in this life.

A/N: God how long has it been. First of thank you to the 5 people who read this. I don't know who you are but may both side of your pillows be cold. I take the liberty to treat this story like a personal diary and like every other diary i started, it seems this one will also be slow on uptakes. But honestly hopefully we're gonna start uni this year and things are just so hectic here right now. Also as mentioned before we went into the story without any prep so please don't be too harsh on us. It might seem inconsistent but we're trying our best. This story is just for fun but we would love constructive criticism.

Lastly please vote and share <3
