There she sits, at night pyjama pants off, blade at the ready along with her roll of toilet paper she says to her family is for her cold. But its not, its for the cuts, those long red stripes. 

She becomes angry when they don't work, when she fails to make herself bleed. She becomes so mad she needs to cut more, "Fucking skin just bleed already" she thinks.

And when she's done her thigh is red with blood and stripes.
