NERELLY . JUNE 13 . HIS POV
I was on my way to see my boyfriend. He said that he was at a restaurant with his parolee and I could come and join them if I wanted.
I pulled into the parking lot and walked into the nice family restaurant. A young Latina greeted me, "Hola! What can I help you with?"
I looked around, "Oh my friends right there I'm just going to over there." She nodded and handed me a pamphlet of their food.
I walked to the table and Dakari looked at me and cleared his throat, "Uh.. This is Nerelly, Nerelly this is Melesy."
I looked at her and smiled which she did back, "Nice to meet you."
"You as well. We were just about to order. Are you joining us?"
I nodded and slid in next to him. He scooted closer into the booth and I couldn't tell if it was to give me room or to make it not obvious but I wasn't going to make a big deal of it.
I didn't know how that was slight but okay. I nodded at her and she changed the subject, "So what's y'all relationship?"
I was about to answer but Dakari cut me off, "We- We're friends, he's been my homeboy for a minute."
Melesy and I eyed him down. I didn't disagree or agree.
She spoke looking at me, "Homeboys...? So he's not your boyfriend."
Dakari answered yet again for me, "No."
She laughed, "I'on give a fuck who you fuck wi' Dakari. I like gu's so quit that weird shit."
I smiled at her thankfully. She asked, "So how'd yall meet?"
I spoke finally, "We met when I was 20 and he was 25. At a club."
She got comfortable, "Oooh, he put the moves on you?"
I laughed softly, "Nah more like the other way arounddd. I saw his fine ass and had to let him know."
"What'd you sayyy?"
I smiled reminiscing, "Ain't had to say too much. He was in a gay bar but he ain' know. I said hi fine daddy."
She laughed, "Ohh shittt. I'm alr' knowing he wasn't going fa' that with his tight ass."
I groaned jokingly, "Superrr tighttt. He told me he wasn't gay and I pointed out the bar. Then he told me his homegirl brought him here. I'an believe it cause it's a bright as rainbow on the door."
She said, "Bright and boominggg."
"Yeaaa. 'Cause how you come in hea' and don't knoww. Yo homegirl was really helping you out 'cause you caught a big fish baby. It turned out he ain' had a ride home and he lost his phone sooo."
