Tom & Sabine

**Chapter 1: Farewell, Paris**

The morning sun cast a golden glow over the bustling streets of Paris as Marinette Dupain-Cheng hurried through the city. Her steps were brisk, her heart heavy with the weight of impending change. With each stride, she felt the familiar rhythm of the city she called home, knowing that soon it would be but a memory.

Marinette had made her decision. After her encounter with Stella and the revelation of her magical abilities, she knew that her destiny lay beyond the borders of Paris. It was a bittersweet realization—one that filled her with both excitement and sorrow.

As she reached the familiar storefront of the Dupain-Cheng bakery, Marinette paused to take in the sight of the quaint shopfront. Memories flooded her mind: the scent of freshly baked bread, the warmth of her parents' smiles, the laughter that echoed through the bakery on busy days.

Taking a deep breath, Marinette pushed open the door and stepped inside. The familiar ding of the bell greeted her, and she was enveloped in the comforting embrace of home. Tom and Sabine, her adoptive parents, were already hard at work behind the counter, their faces lighting up as they caught sight of her.

"Marinette, ma chérie!" Sabine exclaimed, wiping her hands on her apron as she rushed forward to embrace her daughter.

Tom smiled warmly, setting down a tray of pastries to join them. "Good morning, Marinette. What brings you here so early?"

Marinette hesitated, her throat tightening with emotion. How could she possibly tell them that she was leaving? That she was about to embark on a journey into the unknown, far away from the only life she had ever known?

"I... I have something to tell you," Marinette began, her voice barely above a whisper.

Tom and Sabine exchanged a glance, concern etched in their expressions.

"Is everything alright, Marinette?" Sabine asked gently, placing a hand on her shoulder.

Marinette took a deep breath, steeling herself for the words to come. "I've made a decision. I'm leaving Paris."

The words hung in the air, heavy with unspoken emotion. Tom and Sabine stared at her in disbelief, their expressions a mix of surprise and sadness.

"Leaving?" Tom echoed, his voice filled with concern. "But why, Marinette? Is something wrong?"

Marinette shook her head, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "No, nothing's wrong. It's just... It's time for me to go. I need to follow my heart, to explore this new path that's been laid before me."

Sabine reached out, taking Marinette's hand in hers. "We understand, Marinette. We've always known that you were meant for great things."

Tom nodded, his gaze filled with pride. "You've brought so much joy and light into our lives, Marinette. We'll support you no matter where this journey takes you."

Tears welled in Marinette's eyes as she hugged her parents tightly, feeling their love and support envelop her like a warm embrace. In that moment, she knew that no matter where her path led, she would always carry the love of her family with her.

With a heavy heart, Marinette bid farewell to the bakery that had been her home for so many years. As she stepped out into the bustling streets of Paris, she knew that her journey was only just beginning. Farewell, Paris, she thought, her heart filled with hope and anticipation. Until we meet again.

Gabriel, Nathalie, & Adrien

As Marinette's departure from Paris drew near, she knew she had to have a difficult conversation with Adrien and his family. She found herself standing outside the grand gates of the Agreste mansion, her heart fluttering nervously in her chest. With a deep breath, she pressed the intercom button and waited.
