I'm not sure if I was in a good mood, or if the lighting was just really freaking good that day, but she looked absolutely beautiful. Somehow, in that English classroom, at eight in the morning on the first day of school, I began crushing hard. She was tall, had brown hair, and a great complexion. I had no idea what to make of this new found crush of mine, hell I'd never had a girlfriend before (which was fairly pathetic, if I do say so myself) and now I suddenly wanted to have one? Either way, I did. And there she was.

Why I thought she was beautiful, I had no idea. I had several other friends that were far prettier. I was in a play with a girl that was prettier. There was just something about this one. We had never said one word to each other, and I was certain that she had to be my girlfriend.i want yn as my girlfriend.

I decided that I had to talk to her. Luckily I knew one of the people she was sitting with. I walked over. "Hey, ava, long time, no see."

I didn't even want to talk to her, if I'm being honest.

"Hey!" Jimin she   said,
"I want you to meet yn, she just moved here from Lancaster."

Holy crap, she did it for me.

"Nice to meet you, yn"

Smooth, keep it smooth

"Nice to meet you too" she said

"Its pretty chill, I'm just glad jimin goes here"

This is going great.

"That's cool, how do you know ava, if you don't mind me asking"you asked

"Oh, well we've known each other forever"jimin said playfully

Hey, a mutual friend Ava corrected

"Oh, well I haven't known her that long, but she's pretty cool"

"Pretty?" said yn

"I think she's great,"yn said, "

You gotta be kidding me.
And after a nice talk with both on them suddenly I got to know that in the past yn was in a relationship which was not actually a relationship.

"Oh, that's cool" I said, trying to hide my sadness. Luckily, the bell rang, and class started. Thank God for saving me from that situation. I was pretty devastated. I barely knew her, but we talked so fluently, like we were made for each other. Even though she had a boyfriend, I knew that I was going to make her mine. It was a decision that would haunt me for years to come.

And on the special day I proposed yn ,but she refused without giving any reason .

Yn"s pov

Did he just say that he loved me? I mean, I know he does, but he said it. Like, he just, said it. He sent it to me. I feel sorry for him.

The poor boy still loves me after all this time. I don't know how to respond. I stared at my phone for almost ten minutes. Now he probably thinks I'm ignoring him.

I couldn't think of anything to say. I wanted to tell him the truth, but really, there is no truth. I have no idea what I feel. I have no idea what to tell him. Should I even text him back? Yes, you aren't THAT much of a bitch. I finally texted him that I can't be his girlfriend.

. It was like he was obsessed with me, like the things I did had some kind've bearing on his life. Or maybe, he just cared about you? No, nobody cares that much.

FLASHBACK

We were best friends. We were best friends for about two years. He told me everything about him, and I told him a good bit about me. He never lied to me, and he was always upfront about everything. He loved me. He asked me out multiple times

, I told him we couldn't because we were too close. He told me later that all the reasons I gave him were bull, and he was right. To be honest, I had no idea why I wasn't dating him. He would never cheat on me. He would never hurt me. He would always try to protect me, no matter how much I told him I didn't need it.

He always loved me, and apparently still did, until one summer night. We were on the phone, talking about nothing. He always loved to hear my voice. I
