Jeon Jungkook was kissing.

Jeon Jungkook was kissing whom he was not supposed to kiss.

Jeon Jungkook was kissing Kim Seokjin.

The Kim Seokjin, who was his enemy, or so he thought. The Kim Seokjin, who he hated, or more precisely pretended to hate. Although he was pretty sure everyone could see right through his bluff, but one thing that was real was that he really sincerely was annoyed with Seokjin.

Now the question was:

Why was he annoyed with Seokjin?

Because Jungkook didn't like that, he liked Seokjin so much. Kim Seokjin, his two years senior in his University captivated him the moment he laid his eyes on the outwardly handsome man. He didn't like how everytime Seokjin would smile at him, his insides would get all fluttery. He didn't like how he would become restless with Seokjin's close proximity, even the simple thing like the man just standing next to him, would make him nervous. He didn't like any of these and wanted this to stop. Jungkook was not the one to act like a pathetic teenager with their first crush. But Seokjin being in the same theater class as him didn't quite help his situation.

Jungkook was so annoyed with Seokjin that being the genius that he was, he came up with a brilliant plan, the plan being showing hate on Seokjin in public so that everyone knew that Kim Seokjin didn't affect Jeon Jungkook in any way.

Jungkook was carrying out his plan very well. He started out by giving unnecessary remarks when Seokjin said something. But then Seokjin also started to reply to his comments, started teasing him which often ended up with them bickering non-stop. Jungkook's friends who saw this teased him by saying how they two look more like an old married couple rather than enemies. So Jungkook upskilled his plan by ignoring Seokjin as much as possible, by being straight up rude to Seokjin for no reason at all when they crossed paths, doing the opposite of Seokjin instructed him at the theater class, not accepting the food that Seokjin bought for him, in short he said and did everything in an attempt to offend Seokjin one way or another.

Jungkook didn't mean them though. They were all his acting afterall. It didn't make him feel bad any less though.  But Seokjin didn't know this. So why did he never snap back at Jungkook? This Jungkook had a problem to grasp. Seokjin never got mad or upset at him. Even if he was, never once he showed it to Jk or anyone for that matter. He would always smirk his famous infuriating smirk at him and would ruffle his hair at the end. And this frustrated Jungkook to hell because not only his hating was not taken seriously by Seokjin but his smirk and the ruffling of his hair made his heart jump a thousand times. He hated that.

Jungkook's best friend Kim Mingyu, the only one who knew about his plan never stopped reminding him how stupid his plan was and how was being an idiot by blowing up the chance with the most handsome and kindest man in the world. Maybe he was right but Jungkook had a reason. All these times, trying as much as he could, he couldn't see any interest on Seokjin's side for him. He could never tell if Seokjin liked him or not.  Yes, he talked to him, smiled at him, shared food with him, was always friendly with him (even after Jungkook started his hating plan, Seokjin was still the same which Jungkook didn't understand why) but then again, he was the same with his other friends too. Jungkook was not any special to him and that thought hurt Jungkook more than it should.

Mingyu, the little shit, straight up laughed at his face when Jungkook chose to be vulnerable and trusted him to reveal his broken feelings.

"If you could stop your stupid plan for once and open your eyes to see how Seokjin looks at you like you carry the whole damn galaxy in your eyes and at the same time like you're a whole course meal that he can't wait to devour."
