Emmanuel looked into Sebastian's eyes, the light reflecting into them. Although he never noticed before - because he never really stopped to look into his colleague's eyes- they were a beautiful, deep brown almost black but with the light, a gleam of amber was visible. "Why are we still arguing about this ? " Sebastian asked Emmanuel, an exasperated look crossing his face. Emmanuel grins .Honestly, he doesn't see the problem with what he did. Sebastian was being dramatic. Sure he did the one thing he asked him not do but there was no real consequences, plus he was pretty sure the guy wasn't serious, because if he was, he would have actually told him, right?
"You can't tell your student we're living together. It's inappropriate !" Sebastian raised his voice, surprising his taller roommate. Seeing the outburst of anger, Emmanuel's grin faltered. Anger isn't an emotion he would associate with his colleague. He was always collected and patient. He was never a doormat though.
"Did ... It make you uncomfortable ? It wasn't my intention. " He started. Emmanuel really intended to apologize but the fact that Sebastian wasn't communicating properly was making him mad. Why does he feel like he has the right to yell at him ? Maybe he shouldn't have told his student about the roommate situation, but perhaps if someone decided to have a simple conversation instead of a vague way to tell him he doesn't like it, then they wouldn't be in this situation.
"You knew it made me uncomfortable, but you did it anyway !" Sebastian answered, bewildered at the lack of understanding from the taller man. He left him a note telling him to stop, it couldn't have been clearer !
"Is it really about the student at this point ? Because to me, it sounds like you didn't really explain what was wrong. You just left a note instead of talking like an adult ! " Emmanuel responded, raising his voice to get on the same level as his colleague. He took a step towards his embarrassed friend, making himself taller and more intimidating than he already is.
"Don't turn this around ! You didn't just tell your student we lived in the same apartment, you made fun of me to them. Some of them are also my student yet you didn't- Dammit, you really don't care, but you could make an effort, and for once in your life, care about how other people, especially when it comes to the one person you live with!" Sebastian looked even angrier but his tone betrayed him as his voice became unsteady at the end, and he slowly lowered his head. His taller counter part widened his eyes as his angry mask fell apart, and he finally realized that Sebastian was actually distressed.
"Are... you crying ?" He asked, sincerely hoping he was wrong, but he knew he wasn't when he leaned down to see tears in the corner of Sebastian's eyes. "No wait don't cry !? I'm sorry ." Emmanuel tried to bring him comfort, putting his hands on his roommate's shoulders and squeezing a little. Man, he was really bad at this.
"I'm not crying you idiot! I'm mad, You're making me mad..." He started yelling, but his voice fades halfway through, lowering his head. He didn't push his friend's hands off though, so that's a start.
"Okay, okay.." Emmanuel said, relieved, though knowing that Sebastian was lying. "..I'm ..Sorry I guess. I didn't think it would affect you that much or that you would really mind." He admitted, stepping closer, hoping to convey to his friend that he really was sorry.
"It's alright, I should have stayed calm and... talked to you about this sooner and in person to avoid... confusion." Sebastian complied, stepping closer as well. He looked up into Emmanuel's eyes, putting one of his hand over the bigger one on his shoulder. He took his taller friend's hand off but didn't let go, instead interlacing their fingers.
"Since we live together, maybe we should start communicating properly" Emmanuel chuckled lowly. Oh, how he never noticed before, the way Sebastian lips seemed so soft and pink. Emmanuel's free hand travelled from the other male's shoulder up to his neck... to his cheek, stroking softly.
The smaller man was looking so deeply into his eyes. They were suddenly so close together, only a few inches apart. Maybe it was the roller coaster of anger and misunderstanding, or, perhaps the way the lack of love in their current live, but they found each other strangely attracted to the other.
They leaned in, stopping when their mouths were centimeters away from each other, their shuddering breaths mixing together in the heated moment."Sebastian, are you-"
"Kiss me"
They sealed the kiss, anger dissipated, leaving only passion and hunger for each other's being as their tongue intertwined.
