I walk along the beach, the sharp rocks and pebbles digging into my feet slightly as I glance at the ocean, the beautiful blueish-green waves lapping at my feet.
I look up to see a young girl. She looks about tenish. Her midlength dark brown hair that's tied in two twintails gently floats in the breeze as she laughs. It makes me chuckle.

I stand there and watch her play in the water for some time before I realise that the water... it's slowly creeped backward further than it should have... it's rather worrying... the girl seems to have either not noticed, or not be worried about it. I stand there pondering what this could mean for longer than I believe I did.

Then I properly look out to sea. I feel the colour draining from my face at what I see. A huge wave, towering over 20ft as it rushes toward us. I turn towards the young girl, attempting to get us to safety before the wave hits. But just as my hand clamps around her lower arm, I feel a sense of dread as the wave hits us; the cold water chilling my bones as everything goes dark.
