Stupid hero

Catlin puts an oxygen mask on him. I bolt out of the room crying.

Dr. Wells exhales a breath that he has been holding been holding since Leonard flatlined. "Do you have his vitals stable?" Wells asks.

"Yes Dr. Wells, Leonard is stable now." Catlin reassures. "Do you know where Barry went?"

"No, but I have a hunch on where he might be." Catlin nods her head.

"Cisco, could I have a word with you? While Dr. Wells looks for Barry?"

"Yeah sure." Cisco says knowing that she's going to talk about how he almost killed Leonard.

Dr. Wells leaves the main center and goes down to the pipeline. He sees me sitting in Leonards cell sobbing.  I wipe my tears away quickly and stand up.

"Yes Dr. Wells?" My voice is still shaky but I clear my throat and try to hide it to the best of my ability.

"Barry, please sit down. I just wanted to make sure you're okay."

"Yes Dr. Wells, I'm fine." I sigh and my lip quivers.

"Okay, do you need anything. Do you need someone to talk to?"

"I don't know what I need right now, everything was happening way too fast. this feeling has only happened once. when my mother died. It felt like I wasn't fast enough. Like I couldn't out run it. I don't know how to explain it."

"It felt like the world was moving too fast? Even for you?" I nod my head in agreement.

"How's Leonard doing?"  I ask sniffling and wiping away my tears.

"He's stable but still unconscious." a beat of silence goes by, Dr. Wells sighs. "I had a question for you, Barry."

"Yes, Dr. Wells?"

He takes a deep breath in and exhales softly through his nose. "Do you like Snart? Like romantically?"

"Well, I don't know." My face feels hot and my cheeks turn red in embarrassment.

"It's okay, really. I wont think of you any differently, neither will Catlin or Cisco." Dr. Wells says in reassurance. 

"If I'm being honest, yes I do. I've liked him since we first met."

Catlin's voice comes in over the intercoms. "Dr. Wells and Barry. No rush to come down in the main center but, Leonard's awake."

"I'm going to go down there just to check how he's doing." Dr. Wells says leaving the pipeline.

I pick up the coat that Leonard left in his cell and leave the pipeline.

As I'm walking in the hall to the main center I hear Leonard ask, "Where's Barry." I assume he is on some sort of pain medication because his words sound very slurred.

"Im sure he's on his way in here." Catlin reassures him.

When I walk into the main center I see his face light up. He tries to get up and hug me but Catlin lays him back down.

"Hey, Snart. How are you feeling?" I ask feeling my eyes starting to water again. I hold his hand and he pulls me in for a hug.

"I heard what you said to me, flash." He smirks.

I feel blood drain from my face out of embarrassment.

"I'll leave you two alone." Catlin says leaving, closing the door behind her.

"I-I only said that because you were dead." I state defensively. He puts his hand on my cheek and slowly pulls off my mask.

"Barry. Please, quit acting like you don't have feelings for me. We both know the truth." He kisses my cheek. "I'll be a stupid hero, if it means I get to be with you."

I smile and he hugs me tight...
