Cassiopeia Jones had decided years ago that the gods must hate her entire existence. What other reason could possibly explain the horrible things she had to sit through from her so-called 'father'? She had already lost the hope that all of it would stop, so you can imagine her surprise when she walked home from school to see a police car parked in her driveway.
She slowly walked inside with a frown, unsure as to why the cops would be there. Her father was a respected member of their community and no one suspected him of anything. At least, from what she knew of. The girl took off her shoes and her school bag before walking into the dining room, where her father was sitting with two men she had never seen before. Which was strange, because there was only a population of 1526 people in their small town of Limestone, Maine and she was fairly certain she knew everyone.
"Dad?" she asked quietly as she walked closer to the table. She watched as Elijah Jones turned towards her with a seemingly content smile on his face.
"Ah, Cassiopeia, there you are, come on, sit down." he said calmly, but the teenager could tell that it wasn't a request. "These men are from the FBI, specifically, the...BAU, if I'm correct?" he stated, turning towards the two men as the one with darker skin nodded before turning towards Cassiopeia with a comforting smile.
"Hey kid. I'm Agent Derek Morgan, and my friend here is Dr. Spencer Reid, is it okay if we ask you a few questions?" he said.
As the girl sat down, she subtly looked towards her father, but quickly nodded once she saw his expression. "Okay." she said softly. "Am I in trouble?"
"No, nothing like that, I promise." Derek replied with a small smile. "We've found women in your town have been missing for more than a decade, have you heard anything about that?"
The teenager frowned before answering. "I...saw it on the news yesterday." she said softly, looking to her father to make sure she had said the right thing. She let herself relax a bit at the almost unnoticeable nod he gave her. "When you say found, do you mean...are they still alive?" she added quietly to really sell the act, even though she already knew the answer.
Derek's expression fell a bit at her words as he shook his head softly. "No, I'm sorry kid."
The girl nodded in reply before stiffening a bit as she noticed the frown Dr. Reid was giving her. Was she being too casual about this? Did he know something? She snapped out of her thoughts as Derek spoke again.
"Now the last women that was taken was Mary Watson, and from what we know, you were the last person to see her before she was taken." he said. "Now I told you you weren't in trouble, and I meant it, but we'd like you to walk us through your last interaction with her, if you're okay with it."
Cassiopeia frowned a bit at the request. She looked to her father uncertainly, wondering what she was to do in this situation. Though at the look he gave her, she quickly pulled herself together.
