The gleam of radiation from the biggest star bathed her stirring body. Sadly, the warmth of the glow did nothing to calm the harrowing chill of the ominous bedroom. Slowly thin lids opened revealing tired umber orbs. With a swipe to her eyes and a few blinks her breath hitched at the strange surroundings. Her mind fought hard to unlock the memories that were trapped behind a metaphysical bolted door in her psyche. As consciousness became pellucid the urge to flee settled snuggly into the pit of her stomach. Peering over to her side she saw the object of her once desires peacefully sleeping with one arm tossed over his naked torso. His perfectly crafted face facing the opposite direction stilling her fast beating heart momentarily. Tears pricked her reddening eyes as her fingers brushed the dried blood that trickled down the side of her neck during the night. The skin still warm and achy to the touch due to the roughness of his treacherous bite.
