Finally, he was getting over it. Taemin was getting over the rejection that he had to deal with twice and was what he thought was impossible to forget. It was a slow and careful process; his heart slowly molding into a more compact form from its former fragile condition. It was when he had to drive his attention elsewhere and let go of the pain from the bittersweet and unsuccessful first love. It was, least to say, a very crucial process of healing the broken heart.

Healing can never be achieved alone. In fact, it was the opposite. Taemin needed others to recover from the anguish his first love had given him. He needed someone who was, perhaps natural to be with. He needed someone who provided him comfort, just like how natural breathing is to him. It was, needless to say someone like Onew.

Onew was like an old warm sweater. He may be worn out in the edges, but he was still irreplaceable. He provided Taemin the incomparable warmth a blanket and hot chocolate would give a little kid who had gotten drenched in the cold, miserable rain. He was what Taemin thought seemed reachable, unlike the first love of his that remained unrequited and unchanged. And when Taemin was finally ready to accept him, his feelings, fate had to get in the way.

It had almost been a year since that occurrence. A year since that incident wherein Taemin almost lost his life and when Onew finally admitted to the younger his feelings. It was a long period of time, and of course, the heart sometimes get tired of waiting and eventually rests to find someone else, preferably someone easier to catch and make a connection with. And eventually, Onew's heart settled for the less first. He got tired, but that didn't mean that his heart felt no love for Taemin. He still loved Taemin dearly and his whole heart was still his, it was just that he was trying things out with others, possibly to lessen the tiredness he felt waiting for Taemin's heart to heal.

It was still in the same room; the room where so much memories had been created. A room with different memories with different people involved and with different atmospheres. The only difference from that incident and what was happening now was that moonlight isn't the one showering Taemin; it was the warm sunset rays cascading all over him and the atmosphere of anxiety and longing contradicting its beauty.

Taemin sat at his usual corner on the bed, placing the book he was reading on the desk beside it. His hands looked fragile under the soft sunlight and so did his heart seem like. It was still a bit fragile, still delicate for it hasn't reached its full healing yet. There was something missing and that was what Taemin was about to fulfill. He was feeling kind of hopeless, though. Being in this situation made him uneasy and wavering, especially at the thought of Onew having a different woman.

He had no right to hold onto Onew for he never said yes to his offer. But it still hurt; the thought of Onew, his dear hyung, being with another woman. He felt so selfish and possessive, but Onew liked him first to begin with, right? And it's not like Onew's dating that woman, right?

Taemin's thought continued to roll by as the older entered the apartment. Taemin felt his hyungs presence and immediately became rigid. He went in alone, holding a bunch of groceries in his hands.

He didn't bring her today, did he?

      "Hyung."

      "Mhm?"

"Hyung. I-I think we need to talk." The younger finally got it out. He had been holding back, thinking that he's too selfish or sometimes, doubting how he really felt for his hyung.

"What is it, Taemin? I'm kind of in a hurry right now. I gotta get going, because I promised someone that I'd buy something for her from a nearby shop and it closes in an hour." Onew said rummaging through the groceries and putting them in their designated places.
