This place is huge.
How am I going to find the bathroom?
What if I really gotta go and I can't find it? Or the kitchen?
What if I can't even find my dang room? I'm definitely going to need someone to show me around this house.
I dropped my bags by the door as soon as I walked through the doors. Harry walked in behind me with my other bag, setting it down beside my other one.
"You like it?" He asks, coming to stand beside me. I nod my head. "It's beautiful." "Come on, I'll show you your room," Harry puts his hand on the small of my back and leads me to a large staircase.
That's going to suck to have to walk up and down everyday. We walk up the stairs and down a long hallway, going up some more stairs and walk down another hallway, then we finally stop in front of a door. He opens the door, leading me in.
My jaw instantly drops.
This room is huge. It's absolutely gorgeous.
It's more than I could have ever imagined. It's probably as big as my old room, my brothers and my parents bed room combined. God, it was just so big.
"Th-this is just so..." my fingers trail over the deep red comforter on the huge bed.
"If there's something you don't like it'll be changed right away," Harry says, his tone stern and demanding. "Just say it and we'll fix it.""No, no. It's perfect," I breath out, looking around the room once again.
I just can't get over how big this freaking room was. "That's good. I want you to feel at home here, Alexandria." Harry says, his eyebrows frowning as he stares me.
I'm not too sure what to say so I just nod my head. "You can call me Alex."He smiles, shaking his head. "I prefer to call you by your real name, Alexandria." I shake off the pinch of annoyance that I get from it. I don't know exactly why it bugged me, but it did.
"I'll have your bags brought up so you can un-pack. Dinner will be soon," he says, turning around and shutting the door, leaving me alone. I sigh, plopping down on the bed. Oh my gosh. This bed was so soft. I don't think I've ever laid on anything so soft. I can't believe the size of Harry's house/mansion.
I knew a lot of people that adopted usually were rich and had large homes, but this is like, millionaire, possibly billionaire big. He must have a great job. My family wasn't rich. We had a nice house and all, but we still weren't rich.
We had our money problems and our hard times, but we always fought through them and they always got better. Most families had the same problems. The economy is in the dumps.
When I was done un-packing, I decided I should find the bathroom before it was too late. I opened the door and walked down the hall.
I noticed some people walking around in uniforms, cleaning things or carrying things to different rooms. I'm guessing they were some of Harry's maids.
I was afraid to open any closed doors, because I didn't know what was in it and I wasn't sure if I wanted to.
What if one of them was Harry's bedroom and he was changing?
I definitely do not want to see him naked. No, definitely not. I see a door open.
I quietly walk towards it and peaked my head through it. Instead of finding a bathroom, it's a huge library. My jaw drops. There are so many books. I walk in, my eyes looking at all the books lined up on the walls. There was a fire place on the wall with a big red rug in front of it.
There was a couch in front of it and a couple chairs around the room. My eyes land on a brown haired boy standing by a large pile of books. I assumed he was another one of Harry's maids- do they call men maids too? He was holding a book in his hands, reading over a page. He looked like he was really into it, so I decided not to disturb him.
I walked up to the big pile of books, trying to be as quiet as possible so I wouldn't ruin his reading.
I picked up the first book on the stack, flipping some pages. It was a huge book. I always loved big books, even though they took such a long time to finish, they were still so much fun to read.
You felt especially good when you finished it."Umm," I hear a voice say in front of me.
My eyes snap up to the brown haired boy. He was staring at me with a confused expression. "You must be Miss Alexandria."How did he know my name? "Yes, I am," I smile at him. "Just lose the Miss.""I'm Liam," he smiles back, sticking his hand out for me to shake.
I put the book on the shelf, picking up another book. "Um, Mis- Alexandria, you're not suppose to do that." I look up at him, confused."What?""You aren't suppose to do the workers jobs. Mr. Styles will get upset." He says, a worried expression on his face. His eyes dart to the door.
"Oh," I say, setting the book down. Why couldn't I help? I didn't mind.
I would be able to get to see some of the books in the library. I found that kind of stupid. Harry wouldn't care if I helped, would he? But I didn't want to get Liam in trouble, so I decided just to ignore it. I sat down on the floor, looking at some of the books that were already on the shelf.
I didn't know most of them. They looked interesting and I plan on coming back sometime and look at more of them. "Hey, do you know where a bathroom is?" I ask Liam. He nods his head.
"Do you need me to show you?" He asks, putting another book on the shelf."Could you? I don't want to wait until it's too late," I laugh. He chuckles, putting another book on the shelf before offering his hand to help me up."This house is so big," I say, running my hand down the wall as we walked down the endless hall.
"How do you know where everything is?"
"Well, I've been here for 2 years, so I should know where everything is," he laughs, stuffing his hands in his pockets. Holy crap. He's been working here for 2 years? He doesn't even look old. Like, at all.
"How old are you?" I ask."18," he answers. I nod my head. So, he's been working here since he was 16. Geez."Here's the bathroom closet to your room," he says, pointing to a door a couple doors away from mine.
"Wait, how do you know where my room is?" I ask."I helped set it up.""Oh," footsteps come down the hall, making Liam and I both look up. Harry walks towards us, looking at Liam with a hard expression. He looks towards me, giving me a small smile as his expression softens.
"It's time for dinner, Alexandria," he says, standing in front of us. He looks towards Liam,
"Is the library done?" He asks."No, Mr. Styles. I was just showing Miss Alexandria where the restroom was," he says. I notice his back is much straighter, and his hands are clamped together in front of him.
I can see on his face that he's nervous. Why is he nervous? So far Harry has been pretty nice to me.
"You can go now," he says, giving him a hard look.
I look at Liam, giving him a confused look. He doesn't look at me, just nods his head and walks away. Harry looks back at me, smiling. "I hope you like lasagna."
(Shorter than last chapter, sorry!)
