Chapter 1 - Five ( Part 2 )

     One day, Rose used to watch cartoons like Blues Clues so she always sits infront of the TV. " Where's Sister Ida? " asks Rose, wandering around. Carna, Rose's eldest sister, and Mom called Rose to come at the entrance. Rose went there looking confused. " Come here Rose! Hug Sister Ida! I love you so much. " said Sister Ida, waving her hands at Rose and told to come at her. As Rose came to hug Sister Ida, she saw some bags, " Where are you going Sister Ida..?" asks Rose worrying. " Well, I'll be going to my hometown dear. " answers Sister Ida while patting Rose's head and smiles. Rose went confused. After Sister Ida went to the taxi and wave to Rose, " Bye Sister Ida! " yelled Rose while waving, Rose look at her mom. " Sister Ida is going to meet her family and going to get married soon. " said Mom as she close the door. Rose went silent and still confused. " Will she be back? " asks Rose. " No. " Mom answers. Rose went sad and can't believe her eyes. " Who's going to play with me? " asks Rose. " Go play with your sisters. I'm busy " Mom answers with a bit of irritated voice.

     Rose went upstairs and play with her toys in her sister's room. " Can you shut up? You're so loud. Go play downstairs. " said Sunnie as she was studying in the room too. The house that they all live has only 4 bedrooms. One is for the maid or guests, one for Rose's brother, Tony, one for her parents and ONE for the sisters. Yes, they all shared in one bedroom and only have 1 queen bed and 1 small folded single mattress to those who want to sleep on the floor. Rose sleeps at her parents room, on the floor using mattress like that too. All the toys were at her sister's room mostly. So here she goes, bringing her toys downstairs. Sitting at the living room and play her toys, alone.

     That night her dad, Mr. Ose, invites Tony and Rose to go at the night market, Rose was happy that she can finally go out! As they went on a ride in her dad's big car, Rose asks her dadas she was laying down at back seat, " Are we going to buy more CDs, dad? ". " Sure, we can go buy some CDs. We always do when we go there so we can all watch together. " said dad. Tony just stay silent at the front seat beside Mr.Ose, he just admiring the outside on their way to go to the night market.

     After they arrived and walk towards the night market, Rose was happy seeing everything people sell there. There's so many things! At last, they found the stall that sells CDs but not the original CDs. Those are like, pirated CDs . Rose asked her  dad if she can buy the Barbie CDs and Dad says yes. Tony choose Iron Man and Dad pays both of the CDs. They always buy CDs here because it's cheap.

     When they walked away and buy some sweet drinks, Rose is happy, she walks here and there while holding Dad's hand. They're about to go to the parking lot where Mr. Ose parks his car. It was a bit far away.

Suddenly Rose had a vision where she imagined that she can be like Spiderman, she remembered that Spiderman could jump on a car when being chased. So she puts away dad's hand and ran towards the street to go to his dad's car because they're almost there and then in the middle of the street Rose froze as she saw a flash from a car that came towards her. The owner of that car use emergency brake! Almost having accident! Dad and Tony walks fast and pulls Rose's hand and went inside their car. Rose was confused. The atmosphere went silent. Both Mr. Ose and Tony was silent, they didn't say anything at all. That long drive to go back home was really silent even when they're arrived at home too. They both didn't mad at Rose. They didn't even say anything at Rose. They both made it nothing happened, so Rose just went silent too but she will always remember that moment when she's nearly died because of accident even though she's only 5 and doesn't know about death.

     After they put the sweet drinks in the fridge, Rose finished her bath with Mom, she lay down on her small mattress, saying nothing to Mom because she doesn't know if she needs to express it or not about what just happened because no one asked! So she just stay quiet and make herself to sleep. She doesn't understand these kinds of things because nobody teach her.

     After the night goes by, the next morning came with good clear blue skies and sunshine, Mr. Ose went to work, Rose's siblings are all went to school and only Mom and Rose was at home because Miss Lily is having a holiday today so here's what Miss Lily planned to do, she brings a small foldable mattress downstairs and puts on Belly Dance at the TV, Rose was happy seeing people dance so she joined her mom too. " Why does it so hard to dance like that? How did you do it, mom? " said Rose as she struggles to follow the steps. Miss Lily laughs at Rose and say " Well, you have to try again! ". Rose pouts and end up sitting down at the sofa and watch.

     When Mom is done by the afternoon, she turned off the TV and told Rose that she's going upstairs, " Mom will go bath now, okay? Go play with your toys. ". After seeing mom went upstairs, Rose brings her ball and plays  outside at the front yard. She loves to play throw and catch with her ball at the wall beside their entrance door because she always has nobody to play with. Suddenly a strange man came at the front of the gate, calling for Rose, " Hey kid, hello! Come here! I have something to ask. " said the man. He smiles and wave towards Rose. Rose was confused and curious. She never been teach to not talk to strangers before because the nursery that she came before doesn't talk about that, they didn't teach about that, same goes with her own family, they didn't teach her about that. So Rose came forward towards the man at the gate. Their gate wasn't like most neighbors's gate at that street. Most neighbors have big gates, a size of a grown adult, it's big and very tall. Their gate was small, the height was short like at between adult's tummy and chest, get it? It wasn't that safe and it's not an automatic gate. No CCTV, not even a door bell.  The house that they were living in was actually a rental house. It was creepy because it's already old but still can live there for temporary.

     " Hello dear, Where's your mom? " smiles the man, looking at Rose. This man have dark skin, a mustache, bald at the middle, wearing a big stripe t-shirt. The street was quiet and empty, every neighbors was inside their house, none of them was sitting at outside or what. Probably everyone was busy! Rose looks up at the man's face and answers " Mom is having a bath ". " Can you call her here? " asks the strange man. Rose nods and ran towards the door, she went in and waited for mom. " Mom?! Mooommm!! " yelled Rose. Luckily, mom went downstairs after her good bath. " Yes? " Mom looks at Rose. " There was a person outside looking for you." said Rose. " Who?? " mom asks while she stalks at the window. She saw a strange man standing at the gate. " Rose, close the door quickly and lock the door please. Hurry! " said Mom with her unusual tone of voice. Rose quickly close the door and locked and asks Mom, " What's wrong? ". " Ignore that person. Don't go near him. " said Mom. Rose confused, there's no explanation why so she just being okay with it and plays jenga by herself. Rose really wished she could understand but she can't. She's too young to understand. No one teaches her! Finally, the strange man goes away. Thankfully, the strange man doesn't do anything to both of them! Mom felt so relieved and finally told Rose, " If you see someone outside like that again, come inside and close the door and don't talk to them at all. Ignore them and let them be. Do not go outside until they left. Got it? ". Rose understands. She finally had this fear to not talk to adult strangers. " We have so many cases of missing children not far away from our street. " said Mom as she turns on the TV to watch some news. ' Missing..? ' said Rose as she asked herself.

     " Reporting live, someone's child had gone missing! The police still trying to find the missing child as soon as possible. " said the news on TV. " What a coincidence! " said Mom, shocked when she heard the news. Now Rose understands better about not talking to strangers.
