Maggie:
I was walking around the pastel and gold main square of heaven, drinking a boring vanilla milkshake. Heaven was pastel and gold, no darkness, no dark colours. It was boring as ever.
My name is Maggie, I was seventeen when I died as a human and went to heaven. I had dark brown hair, green eyes and I am goth. I do have a twin, but he doesn't matter right now. I was sure that the heaven was nothing but boring. The fountain was made from pure gold and the water was shining blue. The pathway was a boring white. The buildings were solid gold. The milkshake and all the other pieces of food tasted bland and boring. The plays everyone would watch were boring and way too long. Everything that I wanted to do, sports, art, music, relaxing, while we had those, they weren't like how I wanted. Classical music, plain art, gentle sports. Everything that was meant to be fun, wasn't.
I had no friends, no one liked how ambitious I was. How I hated wearing the long light grey dress they made us wear. I had my hair in two high ponytails. I hated the flat shoes I walked in, they made my feet feel gross on my feet.
As I walked across the streets of heaven, I noticed how everyone was quiet and peaceful, of course. But no one could know how I feel. No one must know how bored, tired and annoyed I am everyday because of the fact that heaven had nothing for me. Heaven was boring as ever.
I ended up sitting down and looking up. Nothing but blue. I was about to close my eyes when Mikka came over. Mikka is one of the highest angels. He's got blond hair and icy blue eyes. He had a very serious face. "Maggie, correct?"
"Yes."
"There's a meeting that you and your brother are invited to. Please, attend. Every winner that comes here gets to attend one meeting.""I'll be there, do I need to read up on heavens rules?"
"Yes please."Of course that he wanted me to read up on the stupid rules. But there wasn't anything worse. "Okay, I'll be there and read up on the rules."
"Thank you."
Mikka leaves and I head to where my room was. When I opened the door, it was bright as always. I go to the bookshelf and get the rule book. It was big and sort of heavy. I put it on the desk and opened it. I started to read every rule. Some where normal. Others were strict and unusual. But the one rule I couldn't quite get my head around, was rule thirty. The rule that the gate between heaven and hell must be closed, permanently. While the rule was straight forward, yet cruel and harsh.Everything I read was brutal and harsh, especially on the sinners they send to hell. But what could be so bad about hell and those down there?
Charlie:
I was simply organising the books in heaven's library. These books were meant to be put back, but were building up. It's clear that the people working there needed my help. I put every book back in its place.
My name is Charlie. I'm Maggie's twin brother. I have short blond hair and blue eyes. I always wear a long white dress with gold lines. I wear the perfect comfortable shoes. I'm tall and thin. I love classical music and peaceful things. Unlike Maggie, I prefer order and heaven is the place for me. I was thrilled by simple things.
I was looking at the third pile of books they had behind the desk, the pile I had loaded onto the trolley. It was mostly history books. At least the workers in the library organise the piles. I was wheeling the trolley down the history isle and placed each book in the right area. As I was about to grab the fourth pile, Mikka came in and asked for me. "Hello ma'am. Where is Charlie?"
"I believe he's in the history part of the library."
"Thank you."He walked down and saw me dusting off a few books. "Hello, Charlie, is it?"
"Yes."
"Okay. You and your twin sister are invited to your first meeting. Please attend and read up on all the rules when you have a chance."
"Okay. I'll be there."
