Jeongin sat down as he sighed to himself. 'This is so boring. Mr. Chan isn't anything like what I would expect. My plans aren't working. ' He lowered his chin onto his forearms that laid on the desk.
Chan looked at the clock on his laptop, 'forty-five minutes left. Just forty-five more minutes. You can do this, Chan. ' He encouraged himself, he didn't quite know what to do anymore. He struggled to keep himself conscious about his surroundings but kept zoning out as he kept his attention on the time.
Numbers. Just numbers. Is what he can see.
Time flew by more quicker than he assumed, and there it was. forty-five minutes passed by within seconds. Chan shook off all his thoughts and scurried to get all his stuff together before standing up.
"Detention's over. You're free to go now." He made a terse statement before starting to walk towards the door. "I thought detention isn't over for another 30 minutes?" Jeongin asked, slightly frowning.
"Well it's over now." Chan grabbed his key and inserted it into the lock. "But-" Jeongin tried to talk but instantly got cut off. "No buts. Detention is out."
Jeongin stood up and sped walk towards Chan, barely more than 3 inches away. "But I-" Chan turned to Jeongin and was about to cut the younger boy off again, before this sudden and unexpected event occurred.
Jeongin suddenly felt a pair of lips meet his. His eyes grow wide as he pulled away slightly, flabbergasted by the random action. "I.." The younger boy tried finding words to spill but ended up with a cluster of gibberish.
The older male stood in front of him, trying to calm his nerves about what just happened, yet not talking. He tried keeping his cool but he couldn't find the courage to just look at Jeongin.
Jeongin's eyes wandered from the floor to the classroom door, it was unlocked but yet to be opened. He walked past Chan and took held of the door knob before opening it and quickly walking out towards the school exit.
Chan froze in place, he did not actually expect any of that to happen. 'What the actual fuck was I thinking? ' He thought to himself.
As Jeongin finally got out of the school's campus, he tried to get away and as far from the school as possible. He did not want to be seen again by Chan today at all. He made sure to keep his face hidden, just in case Chan wanders by so there wouldn't be any awkward tension between them.
The younger boy at last arrived to his house, searching all around for the door key to get in and cry into his pillow. He swung the door open after unlocking it and slamming it shut, making his way up the stairs and into his room he goes.
"I seriously can't even believe I just kissed my fucking teacher.." He muttered under his breath, focusing on his breathing control before opening his closet door to change out of these uncomfortable uniform clothes.
' What could this possibly mean anymore..? ' He asked himself, genuinely having a mental crisis. Jeongin decided maybe scrolling through social media might help. He thought for a bit, realizing he hasn't posted on his Instagram in such awhile.
His shaky hands slowly reached out to his phone as he took a firm grasp of the vertical rectangular device. As he began to unlock it, his mind began to shoot new thoughts through his overwhelmed brain again.
Jeongin clicked on Instagram and got his camera ready to post a quick selfie.
He finished snapping the photo and uploaded it, powering his phone off after it finished the uploading process and plopped on his bed. He couldn't get the feeling of Chan's lips on his off at all.
It was difficult to fall asleep that night for Jeongin, his mind wandered to multiple questions and things that he couldn't just go on without them being answered. The worst part is, it's only a Monday. He had four more days of school and all four included Chan's class.
' God, this is going to be a heck of a week.. '
He sighed softly as he laid on the side of him. His bed was very little to no comfort in this current state. All he wanted to do was just skip school now. He didn't find any joy in going to Chan's class now since he knew he wouldn't have any courage to break the tension between them.
Jeongin pulled the covers over himself, trying to get into a comfortable position as he tossed and turned in his bed. Eventually, laying flat on his back as he stared blankly at the ceiling.
Then, he heard the sounds of a ringtone. It was a very particular one, it had this soft, yet annoying sound. It was like if you took a really nice thing and a really annoying thing and mixed it all together to make it into a sound.
The only person who he specifically gave that ringtone to whenever this one person called him.. was Seungmin.
Jeongin groaned, normally he would be either excited or happy whenever Seungmin rang him but at this time, it was a horrible timing. He sat up and quickly grabbed his phone, pressing the green, circular button and putting the phone up to his ear.
"Hey, Jeongin!" Seungmin exclaimed happily over the phone. Which was way different from when they were in school earlier..
"Hi, Seungmin. What's up? You seem quite happy right now.." Jeongin mumbled, trying to at least put some energy into his talking tone so Seungmin wouldn't suspect anything. "Oh, nothing. I'm just bored."
"Really? Just bored? You don't normally call me when you're 'Just bored.'" Jeongin let out a faint laugh. "Okay. Maybe it's not because I'm just bored, but it's one of the reasons I called you." There were small little noises of paper-like crumbling in the background over Seungmin's side.
"Is there a fire in your house or something?" Jeongin asked. He knew Seungmin doesn't call people and do anything with paper at the same time. It wasn't like him. The noises also sounded like fire cracking, which was one of the only things Jeongin's mind could jump to.
"No.. It's a fireplace." Seungmin had a hint of confusion in his voice. "You have a fireplace? Don't you live in a house without one though?" Jeongin asked.
"Oh! I forgot to tell you, me and my family moved to a different area that's more closer to the school since every morning I wake up grumpy." Seungmin laughed, he always had this pure laugh. It was just lovely to hear. Which is one of the reasons why Jeongin has a crush on him. Or.. used to.
"Ooh, that's nice." He replied. Talking to Seungmin always made his negative feelings go away, there was just something that healed him better than anyone.
The two continued to talk for around three hours until it was 1am. "Ah! It's already one..? We should get off call. I didn't mean to keep you up so late," Seungmin laughed slightly before continuing. "Sorryyy." He apologized.
"No, no. It's fine, don't worry. It's not like I planned to sleep earlier, so it's really not a big deal." Jeongin reassured Seungmin to make sure he didn't feel that bad. "But you could've gotten more sleep! But anyways, goodnight?"
"Goodnight."
