Flower- I.N

"I Like You."

I spoke while looking at the sky so that if I was rejected at least I wouldn't have to look him in the eye.

There were a few moments of silence before he spoke.

"I- I.N... Hyunjin... He likes you... he told me he is in love with you."

Han told me while playing with Bbama. My eyes widened and I turned to him.

"Hyunjin, what?"

I asked shocked.

"He's in love with you, he has been since grade school."

I stayed silent for a few seconds before getting up and walking away. I needed a few minutes to myself. I could tell Han was understanding and left me alone while I needed it.

I went back to my apartment where I had left my phone, I checked it and saw hundreds of missed calls from my family and friends, including Hyunjin. I spent every day with him and I didn't notice. I had been gone all day, he must've been worried sick.

I don't want to end up like Minho, an ignorant jerk.

I called Hyunjin back, he had called me the most.

"Hey, are you okay? What Happened?"

Hyunjin's worried tone is what made me melt. He was genuinely worried and always cared for me.

"I'm okay, I just came by the garden."

I replied to him, while looking at the sun reflecting off of the lake, it was serene. The roses were beautiful, the butterflies flying around and birds singing, it all made me calm.

"I'll be there in 15 minutes."

I smiled and softly spoke.

"Okay."

I hung up the phone and sat on the emerald bench. I owned this garden and kept it my little secret until Hyunjin followed me one day after I had a hard day and he wanted to console me. I'm glad he followed me that day, I wouldn't be here without him, and now I have someone to share this beautiful place with, someone who can enjoy the beauty of this paradise as much as I can.

After fifteen minutes, I heard a familiar voice shouting. I smiled, his voice was soothing. I stood and walked toward him. He was worried and I just gave him a reassuring smile that made him calm down too. 

"I'm sorry for worrying you."

I hugged him. He wrapped his arms around me, making me warm.

"I'm just glad you're not hurt."

He sighed and held me tighter. I let go of him after a little while and stared into his eyes. After five minutes of comfortable silence, I kissed him.

He kissed me back almost immediately. His arms wrapped around my waist closing the gap between us. He kept me warm and his lips were softer than a rose petal. After a few minutes we pulled apart and sat down on the bench and he held me as we watched the sun set.

I started the day confessing to a friend and ended it, completely and utterly in love with my best friend.

"I love you."

He spoke to me. My heart fluttered. My blush was noticeable. He chuckled and pulled me closer as the sun set and stars became visible. 

"I love you too."

I looked at him and he looked at me, I admired him and his unbelievable beauty. He smiled and kissed my forehead before looking back up at the stars but, the only star I could keep my eyes on was Hyunjin.
