Leon's Pov
For years I feared me being in Judy's life was a danger. If anything it put her in danger. I missed out on her life. She's a smart sweet girl like her mother. I don't want Judy to live a life without me. And I don't want to think I don't love her. All of the fighting was all for her. I fight to stay alive for my daughter. Anna will be proud to have a daughter like her
Leon sighs Leaning on the wall "Well, I know what I'm gonna take away from this experience"
"What's that?"
"Prison tours suck" Everyone chuckles
"So do giant shark monsters"
"So did this op"
"And for you young lady" Leon looks at Judy
Judy gulps but keeps smiling "yes?"
"have you learned your lesson?"
Judy nods "No prison tours"
"And...?"
"No lying and telling you where I am?"
"good..." Leon smiles "You're grounded"
"What!?" Judy looks at Leon in disbelief as everyone starts laughing. Judy crosses her arms "For how long?"
"hand over the phone to give to your granddad...a week without your phone is ok"
"I guess" Judy hands over her phone "How am I going to call you then?"
Leon smiles "don't worry about it. Come on let's talk" Leon walks Judy away from everyone
"Oh no..."
"don't worry about it" Leon smiles down at her
"What's happening?"
"I wasted both of our lives"
"What do you mean?"
"I know you always wanted to meet me and stay with me...and I always told you that it wasn't safe"
"If anything dad i'm safer with you"
"I agree. For years I nearly died fighting the infections...I'm sorry I wasn't around"
"I get it dad"
"It won't make up for it but... You're the thing that keeps me going" leon takes a deep breath "Your grandfather's getting old...I'm sure he'll need help with you"
Judy gasps "Are you saying what I think you're saying" Judy smiling
"I'm gonna live with you and grandpa and i'll leave you again"
Judy screams in excitement and jumps into his arms as Leon laughs hugging her "I love you so much..."
One week Later
Leon and Judy are in a car as Leon's driving and Judy's eating a soft served vanilla icecream. "No phone for a week has been kind of fun"
"Finally picking up an actually book and us catching up is very fun"
Judy chuckles "Where are we going?"
"it's a surprise"
"is it a new phone?"
"You'll get it back my love soon enough"
"yay!"
Leon chuckles "how are you feeling since...?"
"I'm ok. What about you dad?"
