-Jean-Daniel

After work I stopped at the neighborhood bar to order a nice ice-cold Regab. I hadn't planned on spending more than thirty minutes in this place, but the more the minutes passed, the more the bar filled with people I knew.

Students from my high school walk into the bar and don't recognize me right away. I wait until they are well settled before going to them to take down their identities. Tomorrow I want to see them with their parents in my office otherwise they stay at home. My work as principal never stops. I care about the reputation of my establishment and therefore even outside it, if a student is in uniform, his actions will have an impact on the reputation of my high school.

Antoinette (the manager): Jean-Daniel, how are you chasing customers away from me?

me: you mother, do you sell alcohol to children? Uniformed ? Doesn't that bother you in the least?

Antoinette: if it’s not me, it will be someone else. I have to feed my children. If their parents were not everywhere in Libreville their children would be at home. you yourself are there at the bar, who is watching your children? If the parents have resigned, what is it up to me to do?

Me: I hope this is the answer you will give to the police the day they raid your establishment.

She stopped me from wanting to drink. I gave him his money and went home. Now that my mother-in-law is here, I can hang out after work. I know she will feed Anita. The little one has blossomed since she was here, more cheerful.

carmela and my mother-in-law were playing ludo in the living room and the children were watching cartoons. Instead of my wife, it was her mother who went to serve me food. I have no problem eating this food that I didn't buy. I'm not irresponsible, I have some financial problems after a scam I fell victim to but before that, not once did I let my family starve or sleep in the dark. Before this story Carmela and the children lacked nothing. so if I don't I won't be ashamed to eat the food that MY WIFE bought. The best and the worst. I don't care if she gets angry all she wants.

After eating I chased the children away to watch the sports channel. my mother-in-law was the only one to talk to me, as usual Carmela was sulking I don't know what. I no longer care what makes her angry.

I went to bed at 9 p.m. I didn't feel Carmela joining me, I snored until 6:30 a.m. when I got ready to go to work. 7:30 a.m. and I'm already at school. The parents of the young drunks arrive slowly from 10 a.m. Everyone has the same penance, 3 hours of glue for two weeks. They will come after classes to clean the establishment, the toilets really need it.

[Phone ring]

I don't even bother to answer. She is Ariane's mother. She will probably ask me for money. She doesn't understand that the 150,000f I give her is the maximum I can do. I don't feel like arguing with her.

[Phone ringing: Me SOUA]

I hurried to pick up.

Me: yes Master? Good morning.

Mr. SOUA: hello Mr. NGONGO.

Me: how are you?

me SOUA: superbly well after the news I received this morning. Finally the opposing party decides to settle things amicably.

Me delighted: tell me more.

me SOUA: they are ready to give you the land in due form with compensation for the small two-bedroom studio that he had built on it.

Me relieved: glory to God!

Mr. SOUA: so tomorrow we have an appointment at the Land Registry.

Me: thank you Master.
