JENNY STIRRED AWAKE, IGNORING THE painful 'pops!' that sounded from her limbs. Her voice, thick with sleep and laced with a hint of discomfort, broke the silence of the early morning. "Good morning," she groaned, stretching her neck until it cracked, offering slight relief.

Johnny smiled softly from where he sat on the edge of her bed. "Good morning." The boy leaned forward and kissed his girlfriend's forehead before making his way to Jenny's closet. "Come on, we're gonna be late for school." Jenny whined softly making Johnny laugh.

"Do we have to go?" Jenny questioned as she sat up in her bed, her legs hanging off the edge.

Johnny sighed, "Yeah. Shadyside has another vigil to host tonight." Jenny's eyebrows rose as she stared at the boys back.

"Who was is this time?" Jenny asked as she stood up. Walking behind Johnny, wrapping her arms around his waist as he looked through her closet. Johnny froze making Jenny's eyebrows furrow. "What?" Johnny turned around and grabbed Jenny's hands. "Johnny? You're scaring me."

"Some masked sicko killed a shit ton of people at the mall last night after it closed." Jenny's eyes widened in terror as as she shook her head, not wanting to believe the boy in front of her.

"Heather?" Jenny asked, even though she already knew the answer. Her and Heather weren't close by any means, but they were friends.

"I'm sorry, babe." Johnny sighed as Jennys eyes shed a few tears. Jenny quickly wiped her tears making Johnny shake his head. "How many times do I have to tell you, you can cry in front of me babe."

"No, I know. But it's not like I knew them that well." Jenny shrugged as she grabbed a random shirt and a pair of pants. Johnny shook his head with a small sigh as he watched Jenny start changing. She had always done this, even when they were just friends. She never showed any emotion other than happiness and anger, maybe an annoyed here and there, be never sad. She didn't like showing her emotions, she thought it made her look weak. Even though Johnny thought she was still her beautiful self when she cried, if not more beautiful. "Alright, let's go." Jenny grabbed her bag and quickly made her way out of the room. "Come on! You said we we're gonna be late!"

Johnny let out a quiet laugh before following his girlfriend out to his truck.

JENNYS LIPS PULLED INTO A SMALL FROWN as she stared at the locker next to hers

JENNYS LIPS PULLED INTO A SMALL FROWN as she stared at the locker next to hers. More specifically the pictures and notes that were plastered onto it. She had seen Heather the night prior, the night the mall employee was murdered. Jenny had dragged Johnny with her to go shopping, as they walked past B. Daltons she and Heather shared a smile and a wave before Heather had to help a customer.

"Hey, Miss Darkness." Jenny jumped and turned her head to see Kate standing on the opposite side of her locker. Miss Darkness, oh how Jenny hated that nickname. It was a constant reminder of her year long goth phase in Sophmore year. How Johnny found her attractive with her shaved eyebrows, trad goth makeup, and microbangs, she would never know.

"Hello, Kate." Jenny shut her locker and fully turned to the shorter girl. "Fruit business again?" Jenny asked as she stared at the box in Kates arms. "I thought you quit after Simons brother overdosed."

"He didn't 'die' per say," Jenny jumped once again as Simon and Johnny appeared next to her. "They brought him back!" Simon made a buzzing sound as he pretended to shock Johnny awake.

"Not my point." Jenny shook her head as she pulled her bag further up her shoulders. "Girls bathroom?" Kate and Simon nodded with matching grins before walking away, Jenny and Johnny following behind. "Did you know they were doing it again?"

"Where do you think I got that molly from last week?" Johnny asked with a small chuckle making Jenny roll her eyes. "You act like we didn't have an amazing time." Johnny smirked as he wrapped his arm around Jennys shoulders, pulling the girl into his side. Jenny scoffed and slapped his chest lightly. "What? Am I wrong?"

 "What? Am I wrong?"
