"Pyrrha! Get the first aid kit!" Jaune yelled, rushing through the front door. His girlfriend Pyrrha, whom he was engaged to, ran to get the medical supplies, while Jaune unraveled a mass of black rags to reveal a small girl.
"Jaune, what happened?" Pyrrha exclaimed, examining the wounds on the small girl, a cat Faunus with short black hair.
"I'm not sure, I heard a gunshot and went to investigate. I think someone from the Schnee Dust Company shot this girl; she was in the very front of a White Fang protest. There was a sign next to her saying 'Faunus Rights' so I think that's why." Jaune mumbled, desperately looking for the anesthetic. He pulled on the gloves, seeing how shallow the girl's breathing was.
"Pyrrha, can you use your semblance to retrieve the bullet? The wound is too small for my tweezers to get it without damaging anything." Jaune asked, clearly desperate to try and save this girl. Pyrrha noticed him sweating a nervous sweat, something she hadn't seen him do since graduation at Beacon 3 years earlier.
"Got it, damn it come on." Pyrrha said, removing the bullet. She phoned up an old friend, who was experienced with weapons and the damage they caused.
"Ruby, we need your help. Get to our house as soon as possible. Code black!" Pyrrha said, hanging up the wall phone. She went back to stitching up the girl's side, while Jaune prepared an IV bag.
"Blood type A+, body weight 73 lbs. with a height of 4' 9"." He repeated to himself, making sure he set up the IV bag properly. They heard the door slam open, and looked to see Ruby sprint through the door, and run over to the kitchen table where the young Faunus was laying.
"Hmm, looks like a .45 caliber bullet, infused with Shadow dust. It's very finely refined. This has to have come from a major dust company, such as the Schnee Dust Company. The best way to counter that is with burn dust to cauterize the wound." Ruby said, remembering her medical portion of the weapons school she attended after Beacon.
"Pyrrha, do we have any burn dust?" Jaune said, frantically searching in the piles of medical equipment they had.
"We ran out yesterday, I was going to get some when I went to buy a new table tomorrow. Damn it, why didn't I get some sooner?" Pyrrha scolded herself.
