Ezail was in practice doing drills, running around sweating, almost feeling sore. " Come on push it y'all" " Push it!" coach Shakur shouted. Scottie come on, why you seemed winded?" " Huh?" " Coach give us a break man!" " We're gonna die before we graduate!" Scottie answered. Coach wasn't having it however.
" Keep talkin back boy, and yo ass will sit out!" " Now back to business, at once!" coach blowing his whistle. For an hour, the Bruins ran plays to stay undefeated. After it was over all the young men in the gym, dropped to the floor, feeling relieved.
" Alright good job ladies!" " We got some tough match-ups comin up, so don't let off of the enthusiasm." " Be ready for gameday Friday, now beat it."
Ezail and Kyle decided to hang out . Ezail sped out of the school's parking lot, heading to a local doughnut shop.
At the shop the both boys ate chocolate glazed doughnuts. " Yo man, things are crazy out here." Kyle stated to Ezail. Ezail shook his head, while chewing. " Yeah well..." " Niggas don't got no common sense these days yo." " Can't believe Pastors wife got killed......" " Lady was nice as hell."
Kyle nodded. " Word." " She used to bring cakes to our class back in elementary school."
" So tired of this street shit already Ketch." " I mean it was cool back in 87/88 just fightin, but now it's all about the killin" Ezail said belching. " You think the NCAA knows about you on the set?" Kyle wondered.
" Ain't no tellin what them suit and ties know..." " Right now I'm just worried about the money at this point." " Ima let Snuff deal wit the rest ."
While the friends chattered for a bit, a black Chevy Cavalier pulled up to the shop. In walked in was Detective Flythe. He approached the counter to order, then turned his head spotting Ezail and Kyle.
" Hey, what's up young brothers?" he asked. " Oh how you doin Mr. Flythe." Ezail now recognizing him. " You Bruins are gonna go all the way huh?" " Yes, we have a great squad." Kyle mentioned. " I see."
With the recent events occurring, Flythe really wanted to talk to Ezail, to get an inside scoop on the gang crimes. " Ummm.... listen Mr. Harris, I don't want to beat around the bush here, I need to talk with you... man to man.' Ezail slightly frowned. " For what?"
" I mean, you seem like a good kid, I just want to establish a rapport. " Flythe trying to convince the young teen. ' Yo Ketch, mind sittin in the truck?" " It won't take long." Kyle look Flythe up and down, almost in distrust.
" Yeah cool, no problem yo.."
" So Ezail how long have you---" " Ezail then cut him off. " You can call me Bubbachuck or Chuck sir..." Don't nobody call me by my government." " Uh.... ok." " So Chuck, when did the idea of I.S.S. form? "
" I remember always fightin in the street at like 9, due to me being so small and skinny." " One day I met my homie Snuff slap boxing on the corners and after, we formed the crew." " Happened basically overnight.'
' Ok.." " So why be still be involved, even after being a renowned athlete?" " I mean, your whole future is at stake."
Ezail shrugged. " I can't explain it sir." " It's more of an addiction than anything else." " I try to break free, but somethin pulls me back." ' However, I'm sure I can rehabilitate myself.."
Flythe nodded then sighed. " Well..." ' Listen, I know you're at the top of the gang, now I don't think you're some Tony Montana committing blood thirsty murders, but I need to know, what the home invasion on Seville Boulevard last week was about."
