Alexis pov

i woke up to my alarm ringing and turned it off as i layed up in bed. i wipe my eyes and stretch to wake myself up then head to my closet. another day of boring, god awful school. what's even worse is my parents are out of town and will be for a while.

but it's not that bad, the only reason school is a little interesting is because of my best friend olivia. she's the sweetest, prettiest, most intelligent human i've ever met. i fell for her freshman year, i realized my feelings for the brunette from the massive amount of butterflies and how my cheeks would burn every time she complemented or hugged me.

the only reason i haven't confessed is because i don't want to ruin our friendship and i also don't even know if she likes girls.

*time skip*

i close my car door and lock it as i walk to the school. i'm early as usual, so i head to the lunchroom and grab some breakfast. that's when she walks in, my best friend, my crush, the girl who makes my heart pound.

we make eye contact as i wave her over to my direction. she walks up to me with a smile on her face, the smile that makes my heart melt.

i smile back and she sits next to me. "hey alexis" she says with a smile "hey liv, what's got you in a good mood" i ask as i bump my elbow into her side. "nothinggg, just thinking about jack" she says with a little giggle.

i forgot to mention, she is dating the "popular" guy, who doesn't even treat her right. i roll my eyes at her sentence as i try to start a new conversation. "so how was your weekend?" i ask. "it was okay, the usual" she replies, i nod and continue eating my breakfast.

the bell rings signaling us to head to class so i throw my tray away and say bye to olivia "bye liv, see you next period" "bye lexi, can't wait!!" we separate and head to class. as i sit down, cody, sits next to me. "heyyyy Alexis!"

"hey cody" i say back not as exited. "what's wrong?" cody questions. "nothing, sorry i guess i'm just tired", i lie. "yeah right sure, no for real what's the matter." "just, olivia always talks about jack and it makes me so jealous."

cody knew about my crush on the girl i mean when olivia isn't around all i do is talk about her. "ooohhh, you know i think you should ask her out." "cody have you lost your mind??" i ask loudly "alexis, first off stop screaming and second, no i haven't." "then what makes you say that cody" "i mean you've liked her for what, two to three years.

if she breaks up with jack then you might have to take up on that opportunity" "yeah cody, and i would but i don't even know if she likes girls" "oh your right, hm?" he thinks to himself for a moment "you should still do it" he says with a smirk "oh god cody, your praying on my downfall" "am not!" "am to" after a bit of arguing the teacher enters the class and class starts.

time skip

the bell rings so i walk to my 2nd period with cody and as i enter, i see olivia sitting, i sit in the sit next to her and cody sits in the one in front. she doesn't seem to notice our presence so i tapped her on the shoulder and she jumped.

she took out the airpods she was wearing and looked up at me. "oh, sorry alexis, i guess i was too focused on my writing." "its okay, what are you writing about?" i question. "oh nothing, just my diary" she says, and fastly closes the journal. i furrow my eyebrows in confusion but relax my face when the teacher speaks up.

"okay guys four group project coming up" i look over to olivia and cody and we all hold hands knowing we will be partners. "select your partners and i will begin explaining the project" i look around to see if i knew anyone else in the class but i didn't.

me, olivia, and cody shrug at each other and cody speaks up "miss, we only have three is that okay?" "no you need four, is there anyone who doesn't have a partner" that's when jack speaks up "i don't ma'am" he says heading over to our table and sitting next to his girlfriend

"hey guys" he says nodding his head at us. i've never really spoken to him honestly. olivia hugs him and he kisses her cheek. i clinch my jaw and look away. i was that we're me.

what am i saying, she's my straight best friend, god. the teacher then speaks up "okay class so you will analyze a story and summarize it the best way possible, but you will split up in two and come back with all four of you together and explain your summarization as a group."

do as you please with picking the groups the project is due wednesday." wow that was a load of stuff. olivia and jack look at each other. "okay so me and olivia and you and alexis, yeah?" i got a huge ping of jealousy but agreed as i moved beside cody and jack moves next to liv.

"okay i'm handing out the passages now." me and cody revive a story about animal safety and i look up at jack and olivia smiling to each other as they received a passage on the feeling of love.

.as me and cody work taking about the passage and trying to examine it all i hear is laughter. i roll my eyes as i look up at them glaring daggers into jack as they smile at each other having the time of their life.

i look back down at my paper but cody whispered something in my ear "jealous, huh?" "shut up cody" i say whisper yelling and hitting his arm "ow!" he says not to loud but loud enough for jack and olivia to hear as they look at us for a second then go back to whatever they were doing.

the bell rings finally putting myself out of misery as i grab my things and head out of there faster then olivia and cody. i walk into third period and the rest of the day feels like a blur all i could think about was olivia and jack.
