Pryce POV 🎓
"Dear Graduates...." Mrs. Youatru-Pussé said to us. "It is my motherfucking honor to stand in front of you today as you embark on the next chapter of your crazy ass lives."
She started to tear up and sniffle. She placed her hand on her chest and shook her head with her eyes closed, being very dramatic. "God, as I look back at our time in this hell hole, I am absolutely filled with a mix of so many emotions. I'm talking about excitement, I'm talking about nostalgia, I'm talking about hormones shooting through the roof!" She said before eyeing Principal Pussé down.
She mouthed "Fuck me after this" to him & he responded with a honorary salute.
The crowd gasped, but us, the students, we are so used to her shenanigans by now. Chad and I shared a look then proceeded to chuckle while shaking our head. This lady is never gonna change.
She continued with her speech by saying "I also feel a little bit of sadness. We had to spend an extra year here due to COVID messing everything up, but let me tell you we have spent these years together, studying, laughing, and growing with each other. I believe we've become one big dysfunctional family." Most of us nodded our head in agreement.
She continued. "As you all move on to the next phase of your lives, you will be faced with new challenges, make new friends, capture new memories and have new experiences. Some of y'all may know exactly what wanna do in life and some of y'all may still be figuring things out and believe me that is okay. Just promise me you won't end up being one of those bitches who spots my husband in his car late at night and ask him if he's looking for any fun. I would really hate to have to cut one of you hoes! Got it? Now promise me...."
There was complete silence. Mainly because we were not expecting that hard left.
"I said promise me goddamnit!!!" She frantically shouted in the mic, causing some of us to cringe.
"I promise...." The entire attendance said in unison.
She let out a sigh of relief and a big smile. "God will do wonders for you all." She flipped to the next page then cleared her throat to finish her speech. "I want to leave you all with my own twist of a beautiful and heartwarming quote by the Queen of rap, Nicki Minaj."
"Oh Lord...." I said, scared of what's about to come out of her mouth.
She proceeded to read the lyrics as if it was a poem at a spoken word. "I'm going to make you feel like it is your special day. I am about to decorate. Let's celebrate. I will not hesitate to anything that you say. It is okay. It is your day. It is your way. Happy graduation. Happy graduation. Happy graduation."
"Not she ruined my favorite song. She know she dead wrong for that." A student behind me said, causing me to slightly laugh.
Everyone ended up clapping just to not be rude. "Thank you, thank you." Mrs. Youatru-Pussé continued. "As we say our farewell to our fellow graduates, let us cherish the memories we have made amongst one another and the lessons we have learned due to y'all poor decision making. Go out into the world with so much confidence, determination, as well as a sense of purpose."
