It's been two months since Raquel has been living her school life, being a star student at Atratus Latham Academy.
No, she was not dreaming. After the moment where she begged sincerely to their parents, and they granted Raquel's request, of course with several conditions such as her parents sending someone to protect Raquel there, it was her cousin—Caspian Dominique, just graduated from her school with the best title in the field of spells. Caspian is not like the usual bodyguard who will follow her wherever she goes, but Caspian is only assigned to protect from afar so that Raquel also feels comfortable.
The last condition is that Raquel must return home on her birthday, as a form of guarding from her parents, and will only be allowed to return to school when her father allows it. Of course, Raquel willingly agreed.
Everyone already knew about Raquel's curse at the age of seventeen.
For the past two months it can be said that her life has been normal—perhaps, well she got a little annoyance from some people who tried to compete for Raquel's top position and cornered her into saying that this year is the year of Raquel Dominique's downfall.
They did not hesitate to put up several posters that read "The downfall of Raquel Dominique" and posted them in the classroom hallway and on the center's making.
She didn't care, but seeing those posters every day made her quite annoyed too even though she always cleaned them. For today she was going to register herself to be a Presice, with a great mood she walked with Amber Valerien---her roommate, towards the registration room but what she found along the hallway were those damn posters, this ruined her mood.
When she arrived there she met several people who would also register, one of them was Damian Dostoev—a boy from Russia who was her true rival because they often got the same score, but Damian's rank was always right below Raquel's rank.
If truth be told, Raquel felt there was something strange about Damian Doestov, when she was cleaning up posters mocking her then suddenly Damian came out of nowhere to help clean up the posters. Raquel had suspected that Damian was the mastermind of all this, but Damian didn't say a word while helping her.
Of course, this was strange because Raquel and Damian often had verbal arguments whenever they met. Yes, although the next day they still had a fight in spell class over a difference of opinion.
Back to this room, Damian glanced at Raquel, and then he walked over to where she was.
"If only you can read, there must be a male partner with you so that you can be a Presice.” Said Damian.
“You know what? no need to rush to register and I’m waiting for my partner cause he is still in history class.” Answer Raquel.
“Oh, your partner is that stupid Italian boy.”
“Shut up, you Russian boy. Jullius only failed in history class and you have nothing to say about him.”
“Failed is failed.”
