“Now why don’t we go take you to speak with Slenderman? There is no time to waste.” Nurse Ann says after a moment, she nods her head before carefully getting up after Jack stood farther away. But kept close enough, he looked down at Freya’s skinny legs that were trembling with weakness, clearly struggling to support the weight. “What did I tell you about taking it easy?” Ann sighed out, rushing to the other side of the bed, grabbing gently onto her shoulder, one hand pressed against her abdomen to help support her up. Freya grimaced, “s-sorry” she was quick to apologize. A scoff left Jack’s lips. “With those legs I’m surprised they’re able to hold her up at a-” he got cut off by Ann tossing a rag at his face, the rag stays on his masked face, over a front portion of his head, if he had eyes he would have rolled them

“funny.” he mumbled sarcastically. Before reaching up and taking the rag off of his face, Ann simply ignored him just like he does with her several other times. She looked back at Freya, who was grinning a bit, clearly amused at what she just saw and heard. “Let’s try and take it slow, if you can’t walk that is fine, that would mean you are still too low on strength or energy, or both and we can just lend a wheelchair for you to use and have someone wheel you around.” Nurse Ann was quick to reassure, noticing the stress on Freya’s face cause her legs were still shaking and trembling, struggling to hold her up

“Easy does it,” Nurse Ann reassures softly, Freya tries taking a singular step forwards her legs shake and tremble a loud yelp leaves her lips when her legs give out from underneath her she flinches and falls towards the ground. Nurse Ann yanks her up quickly, placing her arm around her shoulders, Jack immediately steps forward and watches them both closely, ready to pick up the redheaded, injured young woman if need be. “Jack, retrieve a wheelchair for Miss Nightingale, please.” Ann calmly tells the cannibalistic demon, Jack grumbles underneath his breath, sounding grumpy and displeased as all hell as he walks off and grabs a wheelchair from the far side of the Infirmary

Meanwhile, Nurse Ann manages to sit Freya on the edge of the bed, her dark eyes looking towards her with concern. Freya seemed out of it, kind of loopy, and just really tired. “Perhaps I should wait to take her to see Slenderman…” Ann’s thoughts trail off as she gently rests a hand on Freya’s shoulder. The young woman closes her eyes, feeling thankful for the comforting touch. Jack wheels over the wheelchair. She opens her amber eyes and looks over towards him as he angles it close right beside her and the hospital bed. Ann stuck to one side of Freya, and Jack on the other, they slipped one hand underneath her armpits and hoisted her up, lifting her up effortlessly off of the ground, making her eyes widen. “Fuck they’re strong.” She thinks to herself, she’s placed on the wheelchair she carefully leans back against it flinching and grimacing in pain

“Let’s go darling, hopefully it will be quick so you can come back and rest.” Ann was quick to reassure, this was the first time she ever felt empathy and sympathy towards a human before. They may be heartless serial killers but most of them are unable to forget when someone, something risks themselves for them despite who they are and what they have done. It made them feel human, like people again, people that are worth fighting, dying, and risking it all for. Many of them feel like they owe Freya everything and the world. It’s not every day a human accepts them, despite what many would think they hold dear to those like her. She nods her head, red waves falling into her face over her breasts and frames her face

“One of us should stay here in the Infirmary” Ann quietly says to Jack, glancing over towards him, Jack looks over at Freya, she looks at him. They both hold each other's gaze, she wasn’t offputed or uncomfortable at all by his empty gaze once she could sense it wasn’t negative, he was just pondering to himself. Ann raises an eyebrow at them both, Freya’s amber eyes cast down towards the tiled white flooring, grimacing at the memory of the breach that flashes in her mind
