It's a disease that is caused by unrequited love. The only cure for the tears is for the love to be returned; however, if they are not then the light from the shining stars will blind the victim.

in this universe, all above applies. the blinding light of the tears may come at any time, and it gets brighter every passing day, until the tears eventually stay unmoving.

Aurelia is part of the Brennon family, a long line of family members that possess the power to make someone have star tear disease.

she hates it, but theres no running from it. its her 'sacred duty', according to her mother.
