A/N: PLEASE READ! Something to note before we get into this: this is the first time I have written a fanfiction for a pre-existing series. Please pardon my lack of knowledge on any lore, though I do know some from a person who introduced me to TFP, as well as some YouTube videos. Also, please note that I do not like using the exact lines from the show, however, as the series is very good at being plot-driven, I will be using whatever scenes fit into my story as I see fit. This is my story. I will write however I want, and I will always take constructive criticism into account. Please keep in mind, some scenes will be completely cut, altered, or copied, when it fits, and will not always be presented in the order they are shown in the series. Characters WILL be OOC, and I'm sure the amount of OOC-ness will vary from character to character. There will also be interfacing, lots of it - but none in this first chapter - so keep that in mind. And Kat's element, Darkness, is an integral part of her character. It's staying and there's nothing you can do to stop me, because elements for others will be integrated as well. You can always just not read this if you don't like it, but even that won't stop me. I think that's everything I wanted to mention... if it's not, I'll put anything I forgot just before Chapter 2's first line break. So, without further ado, here is Chapter 1!

Groaning, the tired woman nearly rolled out of bed. The night before had been wonderful, she had met three kids, one of which was Japanese, judging by the hint of accent she bore. The eldest seemed to be the independent type, and the youngest was an absolute genius. She didn't remember their names, but she was sure a few more meet-ups with them would nail their names into place in her mind.
Katherine looked into the mirror, her hair a mess and dark circles under her eyes. She decided a shower was in order, and stripped down to do just that. Once the water was warm enough, she stepped in and began washing up, feeling the steam tickle her nose a bit as she spread the lather over herself. The warm water running down her body was relaxing, but she finished up her shower quickly, not wanting to dawdle for very long, and grabbed a towel, drying herself off. Nothing was as soothing as a hot shower, to her. Deciding now was as good a time as any to catch up on recent news, she got dressed and went downstairs, choosing hot chocolate for her morning pick-me-up before settling on the sofa and turning on the television.
The world outside of Jasper, Nevada was teeming with life, but the small city here was quiet enough. It was the way she liked it, after her last life being so... tumultuous. A husband, children, and killers after her children so often. Sighing, Kat leans back in her chair, recounting her many millennia of lives. Two things were always constant, her immortality, and the strange entity attached to her, Darkness. It bound itself to her soul, which meant it never had to find another host. She often practiced with it, and it seemed more than happy to serve her most of the time, though it didn't talk much. Seeing as it was nighttime, Kat decided to take a walk, knowing Darkness would protect her if danger arose. When asked, she just said she wanted to go to a canyon-like area. In a blink, she was gone, out in the wilderness. She just walked along the edge of the canyon, Darkness making a bridge whenever there was a gap in her path. A crash alerted her to danger, and a huge robot stood at the edge of a cliff, gray and purple.
"Well it's not like I fear death..." she murmurs to herself. "Might as well, right, Darkness?"
The element agreed, so she made her way closer to the giant robot, which was talking to someone called 'Optimus Prime' and she followed the direction its eyes were looking in, seeing another giant robot in the canyon. She didn't pay much attention to them, besides the gray one. It seemed arrogant... the voice of the gray one signaled a male to her, so did the voice of the other. She noticed the large purple crystal in the gray robot's hand as he lifted it and threw it into the ground in the canyon.
