Aiden and Ashlyn laid on Aiden's bed. Aiden laying normally on the bed, holding his phone in the air and scrolling through it, Ashlyn laying sideways with her legs off the bed while resting her head on Aiden's calves, also holding her phone up and scrolling through it. Aiden put his arm down and looked down at Ashlyn's phone, watching her scroll. Aiden observed as she smiled before liking and commenting on a post that Tyler had made. He didn't see what she commented but the feeling of jealosy filled his head. Aiden had always felt jealous when Ashlyn interacted with other people and this was no different. Aiden's usual grin turned into a smirk as he teased Ashlyn. "Supporting your boyfriend?" he said. Ashlyn sat up and faced Aiden before rolling her eyes. "Aiden he's my friend too, y'know?" she said annoyed. Aiden shrugged "Uh huh suuure~" he teased again. He often tried to pry for Ashlyn to tell him more, but disguise it as him just being cocky to keep her from catching on. Ashlyn shook her head before she moved and laid beside Aiden, turning her phone to him. "Look, dweeb" she joked. Aiden looked at her phone to see the comment she left Tyler, which he now saw was actuallly a group photo he had taken

"u got my angle wrong"

Aiden jokingly scoffed as Ashlyn looked back to him before teasing back at him "Still jealous?" Aiden jokingly pushed Ashlyn before the two of them sat up. "I am not jealous" he said defensively. Ashlyn scrunched her nose as she looked at Aiden. Aiden put his hands up in a shrugging position "What? I'm not" he replied, putting his arms down, still sounding very defensive. Ashlyn chuckled before she laid back down, this time on her side, her back facing Aiden. Aiden watched her for a moment as she continued to scroll through her phone before he laid down beside her. Aiden continued to watch Ashlyn for a few minutes before he also began scrolling through his phone. After about 20 minutes, Ashlyn rolled over to face Aiden. "Tyler asked if he, Taylor, and Logan can come hangout too. That alright? I can let Ben know aswell" she said. Aiden rolled over onto his back before muttering something ineligable to himself. Ashlyn's face turned into confusion as she looked at Aiden. "Hm?" she asked. Aiden sat up before replying. "I thought it was just us until later tonight" Ashlyn sat up beside Aiden, still looking at him confusingly. "I mean yeah, but they just wanted to head over early, I'm still gonna be here with you." she replied. Aiden looked away from Ashlyn. "Yeah, yeah, that's fine." he replied. Ashlyn scrunched her nose again before moving herself to be directly in front of Aiden, noticing frustration in his eyes. "Did something happen between one of you?" she asked. Aiden shook his head "No it's nothin' it's alright" he replied reassuringly, straighting his posture to make him seem more sure of himself. Ashlyn tilted her head and stared at Aiden. His grin turned into one of nervousness. "What?" he asked. Ashlyn squinted her eyes and continued to look at Aiden. "Something's wrong" she replied. Aiden chuckled before standing up and walking towards his bedroom door. "Nothin at all, Ash" he said as he left the room. She faced the door and listened as Aiden walked down the hall and let Ben know the others were about to head over before she heard Aiden walk downstairs. Ashlyn sat there thinking for a moment before she followed Aiden downstairs, replying to Tyler's message as she walked.

Ashlyn, Aiden, and Ben all sat on the couch talking as they waited for the rest of the group to arrive. As a knock came from the door, Ben stood up to answer it, and Aiden moved himself closer to Ashlyn. She turned to him at the feeling of him moving but quickly turned her head back to the door as the missing three from their group walked in. Ashlyn waved and greeted the three of them with a smile as they gathered in and sat down in the living room with her and Aiden. Logan sat on the floor, Taylor sat on the end of the couch, Ben sitting beside her, and then Tyler sat between Ben and Ashlyn. As the room filled with chatter while Ben turned the television on, Ashlyn felt Aiden put his arm around her and pull her closer to him. She looked at him in confusion but Aiden just tilted his head at her. Ashlyn returned to face the rest of the group as they continued to talk. "We should play something!" Taylor said excitedly. Ashlyn and Ben nodded while Tyler and Logan replied. "I think that'd be fun" "Yeah, just dont pick something stupid." Taylor smiled and looked over to Aiden. "Is that alright?" Aiden snapped out of his little trance focused on Ashlyn "Oh yeah, Anything in mind?" he asked warmly. Taylor shrugged. "I don't mind!" Tyler butted in. "Mario olympics?" he asked. Ben nodded before standing up from the couch and rummaging around in a bag set beside the TV stand, pulling out a disc and inserting it into the Xbox connected to it before grabbing controllers out of the bag, one by one, handing them to everyone. "I'll just watch" Ashlyn said handing the controller over to Tyler. Aiden narrowed his eyes as he watched Tyler take the controller from Ashlyn before snapping himself out of it. "Yeah me too, watching Tyler lose is better than playing with him" he teased.

As Ben, Logan, Taylor, and Tyler all played the game, Ashlyn and Aiden watched, occasionally making encouraging remarks towards them. "Tyler you have to aim dude" Ashlyn joked, jabbing him with her elbow. Tyler yelled back, frustrated at the game. "I'm fuckin' tryin' but Logan has the aim of a god damn sniper I can barely score above him" Logan laughed before Taylor teased at Tyler "And who was the one who agreed he should handle the guns?" Tyler rolled his eyes at Taylor before returning his focus back to the game. Aiden's gaze moved from the TV to Tyler, gritting his teeth. Aiden looked back to the TV before resting his head onto Ashlyn's shoulder. Ashlyn had gotten used to his physical affection by this point so she didn't really think anything of it until he moved his hand to be around her waist. Ashlyn looked from the game down to Aiden's arm. "Uh, I'm gonna grab something to drink. Aiden, mind helping?" she said nervously. Aiden moved from Ashlyn and shrugged. "Yeah why not" he replied. "Ooh grab me a gatorate" Taylor said, still looking at the screen. "Water is fine" Logan said. Tyler's responce followed. "I don't care" Ashlyn nodded before standing up and walking to the kitchen, Aiden following.

As the two reached the room, Ashlyn turned to face Aiden, crossing her arms. Aiden looked at her in confusion. "What's going on with you?" she asked. Aiden raised his eyebrow. "Nothings wrong." Ashlyn put her hands onto her hips. "Aiden you've been really distant to everyone aside from me and Ben. You don't seem to like them around anymore. What's gotten into you?" Aiden shrugged before replying "Ash I'm telling you nothing is wrong" Ashlyn stayed silent for a moment to think of a reply. "We all agreed we would trust eachother. Why aren't you trusting me?" she said in frustration. Aiden's eyes turned nervous as he felt himself start to sweat. "Really It's nothing I just-" Ashlyn cut him off. "You just what? Are you done being a team? Everything we powered through together, all together, just isn't relevant anymore? They've saved both of our lives on multiple occasions, I don't understand why-" she stopped talking as she noticed Aiden's smile dropped from his face. Silence filled the room again before Aiden spoke. "I didn't ask for them to save me, or join the group. Everything would've been fine if it was just us but now I have to deal with them around you and-" Ashlyn cut him off again. "Around me? Aiden what are you on about?" "I don't like how close they're getting." he sighed. Ashlyn furrowed her eyebrows in even more confusion. "What's the problem with me having other friends?" she replied. "Because that's less time you focus on me because," Aiden replied defeatedly before pausing. "Because I just always wanted it to only be us." he finished. "Why?" she asked, making direct eye contact. "Because I had you first and you're mine to protect and keep happy and take care of and-" Ashlyn's face sofened as she once again cut Aiden off, which she was now realizing is one of her very bad habits. "I- Yours?" she asked nervously. "Yeah." Aiden replied before moving over to Ashlyn and holding her by her waist. Ashlyn moved her hands up, now against Aiden's chest, as she didn't really know where else to place them. "Aiden we can all be friends." she replied. "I don't- want to be your friend, Ashlyn." her eyes widened as Aiden finished his sentence. "Aiden don't you think we should figure all this phantom stuff out before,, anything?" she asked. Aiden tightened his grip around her and raised his voice slightly. "No." Ashlyn flinched at the raise in his demeanor. Ashlyn just looked up to Aiden in silence as they stood there. Aiden's eyes filled with jealosy. "I can protect you better than anyone." he said sternly. Ashlyn's mouth fell agape. She had never seen Aiden this way. "Aiden I really like you, I do, I just think we should think abou-" Aiden cut her off by meeting his lips with hers. Ashlyn's eyes widened at first from the sudden gesture, but slowly softened as she felt Aiden's body loosen up after being so tense. The two pulled back and looked at eachother. Aiden's smile now returned to his face as Ashlyn just observed him, his face turning red. Aiden, embarassed from Ashlyn seeing him in such a flustered manor, burried his head into the crook of her neck before Ashlyn moved her hands to be holding back onto him around his neck. "It's okay." she spoke softly into his ear, feeling her face heat up. She moved her right hand onto the back of his head, intertwining her fingers into his hair. "It's okay, I'm here, I'm-" she paused. "Yours."
