Raoul's case was a media sensation at the time. Newspapers and magazines were full of stories about the case. I was relieved that Raoul had turned himself in, but there was one mystery I hadn't solved. Who was the mastermind? Had he masterminded other cases? I could only assume that he was a genius.
"Hey, your face is so scary. Still not happy with the result?" while I was deep in thought, Lewis suddenly appeared behind me.
"No, it's nothing," I said, shaking my head.
"I'm surprised the real culprit turned himself in. Did you threaten him?" Lewis asked in a joking tone.
"It's easy if you make the effort."
"You little-"
As we spoke, a woman entered our room. She said she had received a suspicious invitation to a house. I looked at the paper, it was quite thick. The letter was neatly written, and judging by the style of writing, it was probably from a woman. The name of the sender of the invitation was written with a blood-like stain, "Charley".
The woman who reported was named Bianca, she is an influencer who is quite famous among young people. Judging by the invitation, I could sense that something bad was about to happen. If I went with the police, it could be dangerous for Bianca because she might be targeted by the perpetrator. So I suggested we go with Bianca to the place mentioned on the invitation.
"Lewis, are you coming?" I asked, turning to Lewis.
"I'd love to, but I'm on duty..."
".. Reifan, you better shut up or this hand will fly to your cheek again."

A few weeks later, I went with Bianca to the address. Bianca looked very moody and scared, why did she want to go even though the invitation put her in danger? There were so many questions in my head, but I'll keep them to myself for now.
We arrived at a house that looked like a doll's house on a children's toy. Our only way in was through a tunnel made of leaves. We entered the house, which had many dolls, but the air was very eerie, as if the dolls were watching us. My observation was interrupted by someone.
"Creepy, huh? Did you know that all these dolls are cursed?"
"Cursed?" I asked.
"Yes, not really cursed. But they are replicas of the cursed dolls that exist in this world. Like the one you're looking at, she's called Annabelle. According to psychics, the terrible things that happen are caused by the spirit of a little girl called "Annabelle" haunting the doll".
I paused for a moment, does such a thing really exist? Why would the owner of this house keep so many replicas of cursed dolls? I continued my conversation.
"You seem to know a lot, are you a journalist?"
"That's right, you are like a detective! My name is Theo. As you said, I'm a journalist."
"Nice to meet you, Theo. I'm Reifan."
"No need to be so formal, haha. Since you're here, does that mean you received that weird invitation too?" Theo asked as he patted my back.
"Ah, no. I was invited by a friend."
Me, Theo and Bianca arrived in the living room. There were three other people waiting, a man and two women. What I can conclude for now is that everyone here except me has come because of this mysterious invitation. But why? Was there something behind the invitation that made them come?
